Guests have said they were happily surprised by the country location, how secluded, safe and peaceful it is while being close and convenient to so much. We're near the end of the dead end street. We're surrounded by woods, there's a creek along one side of the property. We see deer, Red Shouldered & Broad Winged hawk, Barn owls, and have a nesting pair of Barred owls on the edge of the property. ***Please fully read the "Location & Parking Directions" section below*** **Generators - whisper quiet and on-board only. Quiet hours 8pm-8am** Spot info: It is a back in spot. Hook-ups are on the picnic pavilion posts. Electric is on the post behind the black and gray mailboxes (pet section). You'll need ~40'+ cord. It's 25A using a 30A RV receptacle, is usually able to run one A/C. If you try to use another high demand item (coffee maker, microwave, electric water heater, hair dryer...) with your A/C it generally trips the breaker in the house. 50A RVs have been able to run one A/C. Water - is on the far side of the picnic pavilion, you'll need ~50' of hose. -- We now have a tankless propane camp shower available for guests. Please feel free to ask as I keep in my garage to keep the bees and other little critters out of it. It's currently set up to be used in the picnic pavilion. You'll need to wear a bathing suit since it has no walls. If you would like we can hang some tarps for some privacy. Currently working toward upgrading the picnic pavilion to add an walled in guest shower area. Local info: We have an information tote on the picnic table with tons of local flyers, brochures, things to do magazines, state maps and more. You can keep anything that there is more than one of. If there is only one of something and you go there please pick up a couple more for future guests. There's a Planet Fitness 1 mile away. I'm told their showers there are very nice, spacious with a changing area in them, clean, have endless hot water. Within a few miles there are 8 grocery stores - Aldi, Lidl, Lowe's foods, Publix, Walmart, Target, Food Lion, 14 Carrot Whole Foods, World Market; Local and chain restaurants, fast food, Lowe's, Home Depot, Tractor Supply Co (best place I've found to refill Propane), Hobby Lobby and tons of other places to go. Multiple gas stations with diesel. Lake Murray is 3.5 miles away there is a paved walking/bicycling/skating path over the damn, public boat launches ~6 miles away, Saluda Shoals Park, Riverbanks Botanical Garden, Riverbanks Zoo & Garden, Columbia Canal, Riverfront Park, Three Rivers Greenway (paved and boardwalk) walking and bike path, South Carolina State Museum, South Carolina State House, Congaree National Park, worlds largest fire hydrant... Pets: Please clean up after your pet. Your welcome to let you pets be off leash while here, our property is not fenced. We have two Border Collies and they do great with other dogs and kids, they don't jump or steal food. Rubi (Black) may pop-up to greet your face and usually doesn't put her paws on you. At first PLEASE DO NOT throw whatever they bring you. There is a black mailbox with dog toys in it and a Chuck-it ball thrower hanging on the post. Please limit the amount of fetch played so they don't overheated and Remy (red) has an injured back so he doesn't get sore from playing more than he should. Cats that stay inside are ok. Sometimes Remy growls at cats, we think he thinks they're squirrels. We haven't had the opportunity to train him with a dog smart cat yet, we're hoping the opportunity will arise. If you have an in/outside cat we'll coordinate outside time since they don't know how to behave with cats and I don't want to take a chance of you or your cat getting hurt. I patrol my yard regularly for dog landmines, if you find one of ours there is a gray mailbox mounted vertically with flags for guests to mark any I've missed and any other hazards (Fire ant, trip hazards...) found. If you have a issue with the chance of coming across a doggie landmine please do not reserve a spot with me. Misc: There are a half dozen places to dump tanks near by. The two that I've seen but never dumped at are Barnyard campground (pull along side) ~5 miles away at 201 Oak Dr. Lexington, SC 29073, and Love's truck stop (back in and will need long hose as it's behind your trailer) 11 miles away at 340 Longs Pond Rd. Lexington, SC 29073. I think they both charge $10. If you are traveling as group/family in multiple campers please message me. I have a smaller additional spot. It's best if the 2nd rig is ~25' or less. The 2nd spot is on the grass and it gets soft when it rains making it unsuitable for large or heavy rigs. Low amperage electrical is available if you coordinate use with both campers as it's on the same 25A circuit breaker. -- I have to list these per BW "Courtesy Contract" - We have room in our trash can near the telephone pole for two 13 gal kitchen sized bags per week. Next to it is a smaller blue/gray can with black lid we put crushed aluminum cans in for our local Fire Department. Near the back door of the house we have a large recycling bin you can use, the lid lists what can and can't go in it. It's ok to: spend nights away while you rig stays here, have a couple guests come visit you here, have packages delivered while you're here or ahead of time, use the lawn to reorganize/clean your rig, do maintenance/repairs on your rig and toad. Please let me know your plans ahead of time so I can plan accordingly. Currently working toward widening the driveway and considering a 50/30/20 power pedestal.

Location
This spot is generally self parking. My wife and I work full time and are usually Not available to help or answer questions during our work day, I also work long days 6pm+ a lot days. If you have any questions please ask me ASAP. You may see my wife and/or our son (20s), they are unfamiliar with setting up campers and will probably not be able to answer related questions. ---This is a back in spot. You'll be parking along the tree line, backed up to the corner of the picnic pavilion, parallel to and ~3' from the telephone poles that are laying on the ground. ---If you have a trailer type rig or are ~25'+ you'll most likely need to back in the driveway. Please do Not pull in our neighbors driveway to back in to ours, if needed it is ok to do a pull forward into the beginning of it. You'll likely need to and it's ok to drive across the lawn near the mailbox and along the driveway when you arrive and leave. I'm working toward widening the driveway and putting gravel down to cover those areas of grass. Other areas of the lawn can become soft when it rains. ---Class A & C if flat towing or using a tow dolly there is NOT room to park in the street to disconnect without blocking it. * ~32' or less you can pull in the driveway to disconnect. You'll likely need to use the street to turn around. ** ~32'+ please disconnect in any of the local large parking lots IE: Walmart, Target, Hobby Lobby... and drive your towed in separately. Feel free to stop by in your towed to survey the situation before you bring your camper. If you have a tow dolly you can leave it near my mailbox and I'll use my tractor to move it so it doesn't have to moved by hand. **If you're traveling alone (and you're comfortable with it and walking) you can leave your towed in the Hobby Lobby parking lot, it's 0.8 miles away. You can walk up to get it or when I get home I can give you a ride to get it. The ride needs to be planned ahead as I travel for work a few times a year, sometimes with short notice. There's plenty of room to reconnect/reload your toad before you leave. Also have room to park an additional vehicle and trailer.

My wife and I are quiet, low key easy going people. We moved to SC in April 2020. We have loads of projects planned for our home, property and Boondockers sites. We enjoy working in our yard, camping seeing new things and places. We have traveled a bit for my job. My wife enjoys gardening. I enjoy driving anything and everything I can on and off road and riding on road motorcycles. I enjoy helping and teaching others about operating vehicles and towing safely I've done some driving instructing at work. I've been towing for over 25 years. I'm well versed in it and understand the ratings and numbers that are confusing. We sold our 3rd camper 35' toy hauler in March 2021, so we're camperless for the time being (pictured in our listing). I'm a very electrically and mechanically inclined person. I can figure out and fix most things as it's what I do for a living.

This was a great quiet location the host was very communicative and the parking spot was on the side of the property next to a wooded area that was very nice. The pups were super well-behaved. I think they were more interested in playing than being petted. :) I did get some pets in so that was great. Would highly recommend.

Could only spend one night, but the place was so nice and quiet. Thankful for a chance to get off the road and sleep soundly! The host was so friendly and we love the Border Collies, Remi and Ruby. They are SO SMART! Having water and electricity was great, too! Mark was friendly and my husband really liked talking bikes and cars with him. Backing in our somewhat long trailer was no problem. We will return! Thanks Mark!

This was a lovely stay close to town but totally hidden from traffic and noise. Mark welcomed us and introduced his lovely Border Collies who made friends and played with our golden retriever. We had power and water and chatty conversation for the evening it was lovely.

We stayed 3 nights traveling through SC and got to enjoy the Saluda River Walk and Riverbanks Zoo & Botanical gardens. Dirt road has large ditches on either side but we were able to get in the spot just fine. Take your time getting in. Mark is a wonderful host and we enjoyed chatting with him and getting to play ball with his two dogs. We would definitely stay again if we come to the area again. Thank you, Mark & family!
