We enjoy meeting fellow travelers. Details: We enjoy meeting new people and learning about their travels and experiences. Favorite activities include home cooked meals with whatever is in season locally, hanging at the beach in the late afternoons, finding the best ice cream, yogurt, and gelato, and grabbing a delicious meal with friends. Traveling is also high on our list of priorities. We love to explore this big beautiful country and getting off the beaten path. Hiking, cycling, and finding that perfect picnic spot is usually number one on the list. Home Town: We live in Kitty Hawk, NC, about two miles from the beach via a bike path or road. Favorite Boondocking Locations: None yet. Skills or Expertise to Share: Nope. We are just average Joes.

We stayed two nights to attend the OBX Jeep Invasion. The location was perfect. The neighborhood is very quiet and in a gated community. The parking area was large enough for our 33' Class A, with additional space for the Jeep and a level concrete surface. We had access to 30 AMP electric service and fresh water at no charge. We really enjoyed meeting our hosts and sharing travel adventures. Would love to stay there the next time we visit the Outer Banks!

A very pleasant, cozy, and safe place to stay. The DornWood's made us feel at home. They were very easy and prompt to communicate with ahead of time. We were met in the driveway as we arrived and immediately made us feel welcomed. It would have been nice to spend a second night, but, our plans didn't allow it. "Thank You" for your great hospitality.

Can’t believe how similar our travel experiences have been with these hosts. Loved exchanging stories over burgers. Great tip we used to take the ferries through the outer banks just miles from their wonderful location. Hope to meet up again in Florida or on the road!
