Just 15 minutes north of Cortez, Co. and 1/2 mile off Hwy 491, we offer convenience yet the peace and solitude of the country. All our sites are pull thru and offer views of the San Juan Mountains, Mesa Verde Mountains and the Sleeping Ute mountain. We are driving distance from Mesa Verde, Canyon of the Ancients, Hovenweep and other outdoor activities in the Four Corners Area. We have 107 acres so feel free to hike around! Just be aware that our place is still a work in progress so building may be going on, fences going up, etc. 2022 is the first year we've had our RV sites up and ready for guests. Thanks to all who donated we now have all our trees planted. Next up is more gravel for our site dedicated to those with impaired mobility, grass and a picnic table for our large, and hopefully, soon shaded site.

We have lived in the Four Corners area of Colorado for almost 20 years. We like to travel but are developing a new home site so are staying home more. Our home away from home is a Hitch Hiker fifth wheel. Arizona is where we usually spend our winter months to get away from the Colorado cold.

We arrived at 5C Cattle Camp on the first cold day of the fall--it had gone from 75 to 35 overnight! There had been two days of rain and snow prior to our arrival and it was a windy 21 degree night! Burr!! Our hosts were wonderful with communication, warning us to be sure we had plenty of heat. Fortunately, between the battery and generator we did great! Upon arrival, we couldn't believe what a great set up they had here! The six long spots were set up just like a campground! They've gone above and beyond to make it comfortable for campers. They are continuing to make the space better. The only reason I rated parking as 4 stars is because the ground was rather soft--one because it had been raining for two days and two because there are prairie dogs all over the field. We came home from Mesa Verde one day and found a two foot pile of dirt on our welcome mat! haha! Didn't bother us a bit, but I do hope that those little rascals don't dig up all the hard work Curt and Caroline have put into this campground. We enjoyed the stay and the things to do in the area and would stay again if we came back through.

This is a really lovely spot, and our host most welcoming. The RV sites are so nice. We would love to return for more than one night! Thank you, 5C Cattle Camp!

Great place to overnight (or longer, I was passing through). Long, wide open, level-enough, RV sites. 360 views. Thanks!
