Hey there, we're Mandy and Jasper. A few years ago we traveled the country for six months and stayed with a number of Boondockers Welcome hosts, all of whom were incredibly kind and generous and welcoming. Now we want to pay back their kindness and offer you a little corner of New Orleans to park up for a night or two. This being the city it's not much, mind you. Our driveway will only accommodate a 25' or so vehicle. But if that's you, you're welcome! Suggested Local Attractions: There's so much cool stuff to do in New Orleans! Sure, there's the fun debauchery of the French Quarter. But there are also great museums and parks; nature walks around alligator-filled swamps; music and dancing; and some of the world's best food! We are located close to City Park which has hiking trails, bike paths, disc golf, lakes etc. It is also home to the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Besthoff Sculpture Garden and the gorgeous New Orleans Botanical Garden. Visit Couturie Forest in the park for a nice stroll in the woods. Audubon Park is a must visit. A 1.8 mile path winds around beautiful landscape with hundred-year old live oak trees covered in moss. At the Tree of Life you may spot a giraffe in the neighboring Audubon Zoo. Please feel free to use the Little Free Library on the corner of our property.

Location

Access Road Conditions: We're just a couple of miles outside New Orleans' downtown area, near City Park and Lake Pontchartrain, and only minutes from I-10 and I-610, the city's major thoroughfares. Road conditions in our neighborhood, and in New Orleans in general, range from eminently passable to something resembling a horse trail. Our driveway has a very minor slope.

Hi, we're Mandy and jasper Details: Hello, we are Mandy and Jasper. Mandy is from the U.K. and Jasper was born in the Netherlands. We love to travel and enjoy new experiences. We have lived in Florida, Arizona, Texas, Baja California Sur, and have currently settled in New Orleans. Jasper is a pilot and Mandy is an ICU veterinary technician. In 2019 we took a six-month break from our jobs to travel the country and visit all of the National Parks, amazing sights and interesting places we always wanted to see. We started in Louisiana and loosely followed a clockwise loop around the U.S. and Canada. Home Town: New Orleans Skills or Expertise to Share: Mandy is a very experienced veterinary nurse and may be able to diagnose that weird lump on your cats behind, while Jasper can teach you how to fly a helicopter... if you happen to have a helicopter handy, that is.

Mandy and Jasper are a wonderful couple whom we had the chance to meet and discuss about traveling and rvs. They are very kind people and made us feel like friends. The communication was very easy. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone who would love to have a safe place while visiting New Orleans. They are more than welcome to visit us in Montreal anytime ! :)

The hosts were very friendly and world wise. They traveled a lot and we had some great conversations on the porch about differences between the Netherlands and America while enjoying a local beer and Hoegaarden wit beer. The neighborhood is quiet and you can ride your bike to the nearby park and/or downtown. The French quarter and Riverview shopping mall are awesome. Don't forget to try the French beignets.

Easy access to the Big Easy. Less then 10 minutes and I was parked and ready for a wonderful day in downtown New Orleans. The WWII Museum is a must see and even made it to the Kern Studios where you see how Mardi Gras floats are made. Mandy and Jasper welcomed me upon arrival and made me feel right at home.

We arrived late in the afternoon on what we expected to be a busy holiday night in the Big Easy. Our host provided their driveway for us & our Class B Camper Van easily backed in for a very quiet & comfortable night’s sleep in a nice safe neighborhood just 10 minutes from the French Quarter.

What a nice night in New Orleans! Mandy and Jasper are very travel savvy and friendly, and their location was easy to access in my 20' Class B and very quiet.
