***Our site is currently most appropriate for a van, slide in truck camper or something similar that is easy to maneuver in close quarters. *** We have a little 40 acre ranch here where we go to escape the lights and noise of civilization. It's still a work in progress, but if you are truly looking for a place to boondock, you are welcome to come and visit! Boondocking location is at a house we recently bought, in the middle of our property, that we have not gotten around to fixing up yet so it is empty. (We live next door.) Lots of privacy, but the coyotes might be serenading you to sleep. We are 7 miles from Interstate 35, Exit 15 (Marietta). Late arrivals may be accepted if you have a small rig. Suggested Local Attractions:Hickory Creek Wildlife Management Area - 1 mile, Lake Murray State Park - 6 miles, Dallas / Fort Worth - 92 miles, Oklahoma City - 115 miles.

Electric at site is fickle and will not run ac but should run a CPAP or something similar if needed. We may be able to accommodate you for more than one night if you have plans in the area, but this is a safe place to sleep, Not a destination. Tents Welcome. :)

Out to see the world in a pop up truck camper Details: We are from Minnesota and Wisconsin but are now living in Southern Oklahoma. We recently got out of the horse business and only have 3 mares and a small herd of cattle left so it's much easier for us to get away and see the US but we have no desire to stay in a campground. We bought the pop up truck camper last year so that we can see the sights and not have to get a motel every night. If we are not visiting family or friends we are usually in a different spot every night but hate the lights and noise at Walmart. We are hoping to avoid Walmart's and maybe make some new friends with Boondockers! Home Town: Marietta, OK Favorite Boondocking Locations: Anywhere Dark & Quiet where we don't need to run the heat or ac! Skills or Expertise to Share: We both grew up on a farm so are pretty good at figuring out how to get things done and not afraid of getting our hands dirty. Between us we have way too much experience in raising, training and showing everything from horses, cattle and dogs to classic cars.

It truly is a quiet spot at the end of the road. After a pleasant chat with my host, I settled down to enjoy the quiet. Then the cows came. I so enjoyed watching them that I didn’t turn any lights on at all for fear I might spook them. So they and I journeyed peacefully into night. I slept very well. Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise.

Quiet and safe place to spend the night. We enjoyed our short visit with Chris, and after helping us get settled, we had a wonderful night. Dale stopped by to say hello before we departed. If in the area again, we would enjoy staying here again.

This was our first Boondockers stay. It was great. Our host was welcoming and helpful. We needed propane and she found a local source. Location was quiet and we felt safe and secure. Will definitely come again.

Chris was a friendly and helpful host. The spot was secluded and safe. I had the best night sleep so far on my journey, surroundedby peaceful countryside. Property is near a nice state park with water access. Would definitely stay again if I'm ever back this way!
