Love to have fun and laugh Details: I am retired. I live with my 3 yorkie (babies). I moved to South Carolina to get away from Michigan winters. I have 3 grown children and 2 grown granddaughters. I built a tiny home on a class c rv base. I live in a tiny house with no wheels. I am currently remodeling a pull behind. Home Town: Grew up in Detroit, Michigan. Have lived all over the southeast area of Michigan. Favorite Boondocking Locations: I did Art and Craft Shows every weekend for years. I boondocks before it had a name. We just called it sleeping in the van. Lol Skills or Expertise to Share: I was an event planner for years, so I guess l'm pretty good at entertaining people.

Adventures Await was a great spot to stay - the owner was out of town due to the holidays. Even though they were out of town they were communicative and helpful for my upcoming stay. The handyman had a spot set up for my arrival, there was an odd issue with the electrical setup at my site and my 30A cord was not long enough to reach to the one at the next campsite. Thankfully, I had enough cord to reach to the 15A outlet at the house. I think that the plan for this site is going to be really great for families with all the activities lined up. As of 12/23/2021, the site was under a fair amount of construction. I think that this spot would be great for a group.

Adventures Await was an interesting stay under unusual circumstances. We were the very first BW guests so I'll try to make this review detailed and as fair and balanced as possible for future guests to make an informed decision. We are a married couple in our 50s who were looking for somewhere quiet, away from the crowds for Labor Day weekend during Covid. The owner stressed to us on multiple occasions that the whole place is under construction and things are not finished, which actually appealed to us because it meant it would be quiet. In fact, we were the only people there! The owner was away too (and had been since May due to personal family circumstances) so it was nice that she was still open to letting people stay. That said, it did create a few issues to be aware of. A construction site is one thing, and is understandable, but there was also a lot of trash everywhere, including a trash burn-pile right by our campsite. This may have been because the owner had been away for a few months so nobody was there to maintain the place and clear up? The place itself has a lot of potential and the owner's vision seems exciting. I can see it could be a quite lovely when it's all finished. We especially liked the colored zones to help identify the different areas. There was also a low concrete trestle railway bridge to pass under, with no height clearance signs, which we fortunately cleared OK. * SITE ROADS: The site has two entrances with a dirt road which the host told us is a mile loop all the way round the long plot. It's a nice walk, but don't try driving it past the trailers! Apparently it keeps washing out and needs the owner there to repair it. * LOCATION: It's in the middle of nowhere and without the owner present I wouldn't have felt comfortable if traveling alone. Nice a quiet, great clear skies for stargazing. Did see a pack of 3 dogs wandering through one evening. * HOOKUPS: Electric warning - A couple of the sites had the water and electricity 'finished' so we opted to use it. We can fully boondock and have our generator but it's always nice to have an electric hookup... Fortunately we have a Watchdog Smart Surge Protector which recognized a wiring error (L1 & Neutral reversed). Not the owners fault, just shoddy workmanship by the electrician who installed it. We notified the owner who was mortified and said she'd rectify when she got back. Future guests may want to verify before plugging in! Water hookup worked fine. Glad we had our generator. * FACILITIES: There is all-sorts planned for the site. At the time of our visit there are no dump facilities and no bathrooms yet. There are rental cabins as well as the camper spots. Mini golf is well underway. Horseshoe pits are set up. It was all very overgrown when we visited, so it was difficult to see all the layout. There is a fire-pit area, dog park, and I believe a shuffleboard area is also planned. Thanks for the stay and good luck to the owner and all the best for the future.
