We have two young energetic young men who will be stepping in and renting our fish ponds, so hopefully we can travel more. We also have a herd of cattle. Steve and Bonnie were both huge lifesavers for my trip. Due to an unplanned breakdown just 7 miles from their place, I had to take an unexpected pause until the weekend was over. After two days comprising a beautiful stay, fascinating location, and highly stimulating conversation, I honestly did not want to leave. Bonnie and Steve were the absolute epitome of what makes Boondockers Welcome/Harvest Hosts so great. I do have one complaint, however: once I was safely back on the road and driving away, all I could do was kick myself for not at least asking if some of their farm-fresh catfish could be purchased for the remainder of the journey. If they'll every host me again, I won't be making that same mistake twice. Thanks again you two. Sincerely!!

We enjoyed our stay last night at Steve & Bonnie’s they were very friendly & hospitable. We very much enjoyed visiting with them on their back porch & learning more about their catfish farm. It was as if we had known them our whole life we had so much in common. They offer electric & water the space was beautiful we woke up to the birds singing. Highly recommend would stay here again.

I really enjoyed my two night visit with Bonnie and Steve. They are such friendly, kind people. I was sad to leave. I felt like I was leaving family. I really enjoyed walking around all the catfish ponds with Cujo (my name for Cooters the big friendly dog). He was always hanging by my side which I found delightful. I enjoyed learning about the cows and the catfish! And I'm so glad I could get a chuckle out of Steve. He definitely taught me a lot about farm life! Thank you both so much! I hope I am back your way in the future.

it was a pure delight getting acquainted with Steve and Bonnie. Their cattle ranch/catfish farm was gorgeous, and when we mentioned how long it’s been since we ate catfish, they recommended a local restaurant that was brimming with people enjoying great Southern cookiing. The catfish and even the hush puppies were outstanding!
