We are located at the end of a paved road on 16 acres. Our property is surrounded by oak trees and is partially shaded throughout the day depending on where you camp. Due to being near the Sacramento River, we have lots of wildlife…turkeys, deer, squirrels, occasional rattlesnakes, turtles and some random peacocks that stroll through…camp at your own risk! There are several camping locations to choose from depending on the length and height of your rig, weather, and/or time of year: a graveled driveway, a seasonal pond, 2 level meadows/fields including the remnants of a walnut orchard are all available. Most people camp in the orchard since we have that set up as a camp site. ***Cell service is spotty at best here*** Please note that due to the turn needed to access our property, we can only accommodate trailers/5th wheels/motor homes up to 30 feet. (This does not include the tow vehicle.) At this time, we are unable to accommodate school bus conversions/longer motor homes due to the turning radius needed to access the property. We look forward to meeting you! Suggested Local Attractions: The Sacramento River/Woodson Bridge SRA is just a couple of miles away for fishing and hiking trails. In Corning you can find The Olive Pit (for every kind of olive and olive product you could imagine), MoonBeam Farm for organic lavender and loofah products, and Corning Olive Oil for delicious olive oil. Black Butte Reservoir for paddle boarding, kayaking etc is about 40 minutes away. New Clairvaux Winery is about 15 minutes away in Vina. **Please note that summer/early fall temps can, and probably will be, above 100°. We are closed in July and August because of the high temps however you can message us and see if we are available during those months and you don’t mind HOT.

House Rules

***Please give us an estimated time of arrival when you book your stay, or as soon as possible (as example: early afternoon, after lunch, after 2pm etc.) so we can be ready for you. We understand it is an estimate, but we want to be able to run our errands and do what we need to do for the day. Update us with a more specific time as soon as you can. ***Please TEXT us (cell service is not the best) when you are 30 minutes away so we can be out on the road to greet you and decide upon the best entrance for your rig. **In case we are not out to greet you, please check in at the house BEFORE driving in. *Be kind and pick up after yourself, pets and children. *No generators after 8:00pm unless medically necessary…just let us know. *No campfires or briquet BBQs during late spring, summer and early fall due to fire risk. *Well behaved dogs and children are allowed. *Take your trash with you. *Be mindful of noise, especially after dark. **Communicate via text or BW Message Center as soon as you know that you are going to be earlier or later than your original arrival time…we rearrange our schedules to accommodate the arrival time you have shared with us. If your plans change and you are unable to make it please be kind enough to cancel your stay on the calendar. Please note that BW has a new cancellation policy regarding canceling less than 24 hours before arrival. *We may accommodate BW/HH friends traveling together….especially if you are pulling a vintage trailer! *Camp at your own risk. **Smoking allowed in your trailer or motor home only. ******cell service (Verizon) is pretty terrible here. I don’t know about other carriers.*******

Location

Access Road Conditions: We are at the end of a paved road. There are many places to choose to camp depending on the length/height of your rig, weather and/or time of year. There is a low phone wire (around 12’) in the yard that will prohibit tall motor homes/trailers/5th wheels from parking/accessing that particular location however, there are other spots to choose from on our 16 acres. Some rigs may have trouble with certain locations due to trees, corners, etc. Pull thru will depend on length. You may camp in our yard, meadow, by a seasonal pond or the remnants of a walnut orchard. Most are accessible by gravel road. We have made a campsite down in the orchard meadow as that seems to be the most popular location. It has a picnic table, chairs and a seasonal fire pit. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: You may park you tow vehicle next to your rig or near your rig depending on where you choose to camp.

Jeff and Brenda welcomed us warmly, shared brochures about the area and gave us their own insight into sights to see. (They also gave us a very accurate weather report and had us park where no falling limbs could be a problem). We parked in nice flat spot in a park-like setting with a table, chairs, a fire-ring neatly set out. We would definitely go again and stay longer.

Thanks for a great stay. Sleeping with turkeys outside the camper was fun. Jeff and Brenda’s attention to detail makes this a welcoming place. It was quiet and level field to park. Highly recommend staying here.

Brenda and Jeff were easy to communicate with prior to my arrival. They greeted me at their property entrance and showed me the most lovely place to park. A picnic table with flowers and a fire pit with all the wood were available for my enjoyment. my dogs loved running on the beautiful mowed meadow. oh!!! and i got to see the WHITE deer that tuns their property. I would definitely stay here again.
