We are located at the end of a paved road on 16 acres. Our property is surrounded by oak trees and is partially shaded throughout the day depending on where you choose to camp. Due to being near the Sacramento River, we have lots of wildlife…turkeys, deer, squirrels, occasional rattlesnakes, turtles and some random peacocks that stroll through…camp at your own risk! There are several camping locations to choose from depending on the length and height of your rig, weather, and/or time of year: a graveled driveway, a seasonal pond (dry this year), 2 level meadows/fields and the remnants of a walnut orchard are all available. Cell service is spotty here. Please note that due to the turn needed to access our property, we can only accommodate trailers/5th wheels/motor homes up to 30 feet. (This does not include the towing vehicle.) We look forward to meeting you! Suggested Local Attractions:The Sacramento River/Woodson Bridge SRA is just a couple of miles away for fishing and hiking trails. In Corning you can find The Olive Pit (for every kind of olive and olive product you could imagine), MoonBeam Farm for organic lavender and loofah products, and Corning Olive Oil for delicious olive oil. Black Butte Reservoir for paddle boarding, kayaking etc is about 40 minutes away. **Please note that summer/early fall temps can, and probably will be, above 100°

***Please give us an estimated time of arrival when you book your stay, or as soon as possible (as example: early afternoon, after lunch, after 2pm etc.) so we can be ready for you. We understand it is an estimate, but we want to be able to run our errands and do what we need to do for the day. Update us with a more specific time as soon as you can. ***Please TEXT us (cell service is not the best) when you are 30 minutes away so we can be out on the road to greet you and decide upon the best entrance for your rig. **In case we are not out to greet you, please check in at the house BEFORE driving in. *Be kind and pick up after yourself, pets and children. *No generators after 8:00pm unless medically necessary…just let us know. *No campfires or briquet BBQs during late spring, summer and early fall due to fire risk. *Well behaved dogs and children are allowed. *Take your trash with you. *Be mindful of noise, especially after dark. **Communicate via text or BW Message Center as soon as you know that you are going to be earlier or later than your original arrival time…we rearrange our schedules to accommodate the arrival time you have shared with us. If your plans change and you are unable to make it please be kind enough to cancel your stay on the calendar. Please note that BW has a new cancellation policy regarding canceling less than 24 hours before arrival. *We may accommodate BW/HH friends traveling together….especially if you are pulling a vintage trailer! *Camp at your own risk. **Smoking allowed in your trailer or motor home only. ******cell service (Verizon) is pretty terrible here. I don’t know about other carriers.*******
Access Road Conditions: We are at the end of a paved road. There are many places to choose to camp depending on the length/height of your rig, weather and/or time of year. There is a low phone wire (around 12’) in the yard that will prohibit tall motor homes/trailers/5th wheels from parking/accessing that particular location however, there are other spots to choose from on our 16 acres. Some rigs may have trouble with certain locations due to trees, corners, etc. Pull thru will depend on length. You may camp in our yard, meadow, by a seasonal pond or the remnants of a walnut orchard. Most are accessible by gravel road. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: You may park you tow vehicle next to your rig or near your rig depending on where you choose to camp.

I only had one night there and would definitely return. Hosts were knowledgeable and friendly and the oarking area was beautiful and quiet. Great stay!

We had a wonderful first time Boondockers welcome experience. Brenda and Jeff were both very gracious hosts and made us feel quite comfortable and at ease. A bonus visit from their 4-legged neighbors including a rare albino deer. Very beautiful place, so much so we booked another night for our trip home.

Great end to a great vacation. Beautiful property with personal touches. Picnic table with beautiful display of feathers, comfy chairs and shade. Brenda and Jeff were very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed our time here.

Our second stay with Brenda and Jeff this year. A very accommodating hostess... Adirondack chairs, a picnic table set with a center piece of feathers "donated" by the local wild turkeys and peacocks set on an embroidered table cloth awaited us upon our arrival. The setting is quiet and peaceful. Sure... one could overnight in the parking lot at the Olive Pit (which I think they still allow), but when the tranquil site at Among the Oaks is available.... why not enjoy the quiet it offers? Thank you for hosting us -again.

We had a wonderful stay at Among The Oaks; Jeff and Brenda Are amazing hosts! They are so gracious and kind. Flowers on the picnic table we’re waiting our arrival. We very much enjoyed our time talking and sharing stories. Their property is beautiful and so quite. It’s a wonderful place to rest and get reenergized. It’s easy to find, easy to park and set up camp. You feel like you are far out in the country and yet town is close. We hope to return in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
