Our church has a large gravel parking lot where guests can stay, except for Sunday mornings but then the vehicle/camper could be moved to the east lot which is next to our large garden and hobby greenhouses. Plenty of space to be had and if needed/desired restrooms of the church can be utilized. There are no camping places nearby and this location may be helpful to those who otherwise may be 'stuck for the night.' Should you want to use the 'dump station' you need to do a bit of extra work though it's not a difficult task. As indicated we do not request a donation; however, if you do stay for more than 1 night it would be much appreciated if you give a small donation to the church for the hook ups we provide. Suggested Local Attractions:Our location is on the Navajo Nation (reservation) yet are a border town on its east side. On Saturdays we have a Navajo flea market across the street. Much natural beauty and plenty of national parks are nearby. Within a day's travel we have more than 20 national parks/monuments. Can leave camper at our site if towing a vehicle.

Pastor John is an excellent host. Kind and inviting, and quite a gardener! The location was perfect for our Class B, level and secure. A great stopover on our way to Grand Canyon. Would love to visit again!

We were looking for a place to stop between Monument Valley and Albuquerque. Pastor John lead us to his parking lot in Shiprock and we shared some stories about our Travels. The church is next to a busy highway so there is traffic noise all night but we got a warm welcome and appreciated a place to park for the night. NOTE: Use google maps to find the Bethel Christian Reformed Church. Apple maps will incorrectly put you in Gallop not Shiprock.

John was out of town when we arrived but the directions he gave were perfect. The traffic decreased as the evening wore on and we had a very peaceful night. John was an ideal host.
