We have just started building a fence and it has created a narrow turnaround space for boondockers. We will only be able to accommodate the smaller rigs until we are able to better blade our turnaround road. Sorry for the inconvenience. We are building a homestead on 40 acres and are just getting started. We call it the Apple Mountain Ranch, but we are not on a mountain and there are no apple trees. If we meet we'll explain If you ask.Nothing fancy here but great views, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, stars, View of the Winnemucca lights, and a firepit and grill you are welcome to use. We do run our generator in the evening. Your horses are welcome, although we don't have corrals in yet. There are no amenities like water, power, and sewer. There is an outdoor toilet for tent campers. Be aware that the wind can occasionally blow very hard and the area is sandy. If dust or sand bother you or you don't like a raw, rustic environment this is not the place for you. We ARE OFF GRID. Suggested Local Attractions: We are about 15 minutes from Winnemucca, 20 minutes from water canyon, 40ish minutes from rye patch reservoir, a short drive from sand dunes, and there are lots more recreational opportunities in the area.

Very nice host and communicated with us with arrival instructions. Only about ten minutes from town but in the middle of an all dirt acreage. Make sure you have working air conditioning because you won't open the windows if it is breezy/windy. Very pleasant host. Awesome sunset!

Toni met my friend Debbie and I as planned and she escorted us down the a well-maintained, short dirt road. We so enjoyed getting to know Toni, her other guest Kristen, as well as her sweet pup! The property, sunset, and conversation were such a lovely respite after a long day's drive across the Nevada desert. Safe travels Toni! Bonus tip: there was a free dump stations at both the Maverick stores in town!

Toni was the kindest host. We were a little late and she went out of her way to make sure we got to our spot. It was windy early evening but by dusk the wind dyed down. We saw three antelope walk by the camp. Thanks Toni for the stay.

Toni, our host met us where her dirt driveway meets the road promptly3and led us to our parking space. The view was incredible and the total quiet well worth the additional 12 or so miles from boondocking at the Flying J. We'll be back.

Location was as described. Remote, rustic, and "raw". Sunsets were outstanding and the view stretched for miles! Toni was very nice and was as accommodating as can be. There's nothing she can do about wind and dust though. It's just how it is in Winnemucca. 3/5 stars only because of the general location. Host was 5/5!
