Welcome to Badger Heights. The RV pad is next to our "Carriage House" which is our part time residence. Located in the beautiful Chiliwist Valley of north-central Washington State, "Badger Heights" has a large, flat gravel pad with developed power, water, and sewer. Our RV pad is situated directly adjacent to 5,000+ acres of state land in the Chiliwist Wildlife Area. Wildlife includes birds, deer, coyotes, yes---badgers, and an occasional bear. We have very little light pollution so the star gazing is great. There aren't many established hiking trails in the area but visitors are welcome to walk around the grassy wildlife area. There's no hook-up fee, but we'd appreciate a positive review if you enjoy your stay. The climate is arid. We get snow in the winter and 100F temperatures on summer days. It also gets very windy in our part of the valley. We're 5 miles west of Hwy 97, 15 miles north of Brewster and 15 miles south of the town of Okanogan. You'll find the nearest groceries and fuel in either of those towns.

Mainly just common courtesy. It's always "quiet hours" at Badger Heights. No loud music, no parties, no generators, no shooting. Keep dogs leashed. Well behaved dogs and children are always welcome. No smoking. Fires may be allowed when the wildfire danger is low. Pack out your trash. We do not have garbage service. Speed limit on our private road is 5 mph.
Location
The RV pad is near the south-east corner of the property. See our photos for details. Access Road Conditions: Our property is on a 1/4 mile long gravel driveway. There are several steep pitches and tight turns on the driveway but most RV don't have any trouble getting up. We recommend rigs of 30 feet or smaller, but larger rigs will fit with skillful maneuvering. High clearance and four-wheel-drive is not needed except in the winter. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We have gravel surrounding our house on all sides. Parking is available on the gravel. Use caution to avoid hitting the frost free spigots and septic system vents and lids. Do not drive over the septic system.

We stayed at Badger Heights November 4-5. Communication with Mike was great prior to our stay including very accurate driving directions. It is a gorgeous setting and very quiet. The second morning we woke up to several inches of new snow, quite a surprise but gorgeous. Unfortunately we were unable to meet with Mike and his wife because they were out of town. We look forward to meeting them in the future. We highly recommend this site due to its beautiful setting and RV compatible amenities.

We arrived at Badger Heights in the afternoon of November 3. It's prominent 'Heights' offers the unique beauty of a desert region that we enjoyed. We briefly spoke with Mike and Sarah and enjoyed their presence however they both worked at day jobs. The temperature over night did drop to - 5C or 23F and we decided it would be best to quicken our steps south to avoid further freezing temperatures and cut short our stay. On our departure we drove on old #97 hwy the Chiliwist Valley with all it's orchards, vineyards and more...awesome and beautiful! Hans & Cathy

Our host got back to us very quickly about booking a stay, they provided us with easy to follow directions that led us to a nice, quiet level spot. We especially enjoyed viewing the night sky and would recommend this place to everyone.

We had a wonderful time at Michael and Sarah's place! Michael greeted us as soon as we got there and helped us park, then gave us a little tour of the RV pad, and explained things to do in the nearby area. Water hookup, electricity, and dump are provided right next to the pad. We were lucky enough to be the only guests for the majority of the time and were able to sit around the campfire ring to stargaze. The stargazing is unlike anything we have ever seen! The high desert landscape is beautiful, serene, and feels very private. Michael and Sarah made us feel very comfortable and were very kind. We also got to meet their sweet pups! Thanks again for letting us stay! We loved it and would definitely come back again.

Amazing mountains views and even better hosts! They were very welcoming and friendly. We had such a great time swapping adventure stories. And the dogs! Such sweet pups! It’s always a treat to be around fellow dog lovers and their fur babies. It was a great level spot in a very peaceful area. Since the light pollution is so low it is easy to see the breathtaking night sky views. We would highly recommend this location and would love to stay again should we be in the area.
