First, David and Kate are great hosts. they just want you to have a really nice stay. My son and I are on our third night and we’ll be heading on our way tomorrow. while here we toured Mt. Gretna the first day, had a great lunch at the Porch Cafe and spent a number of hours hiking around and enjoying all of the architecture of Mt. Gretna of which there is plenty of unique structures to see. Today we spent doing the same thing in Lititz. I’ve loged 27,000 steps in the two days. I could quite easily park my class b rv in both towns and even did so in free parking areas. Some of the reviews state that others have had difficulty finding the Bamboo Field location as well as pulling in and out. you do need to be careful but i had no issues. I’ll definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Hosts Dave and Kate are RVers and have compact Class, as do I. I'm a full-time solo traveler and the site was ideal for me to use as a base for the local area. Some road traffic but quiet after about 9 pm. So I slept weIl until my regular wake up time. I would request another stay if in by the area.

What delightful hosts and a marvelous site. Dave and their beautiful pup, Finn, greeted me and made me feel welcome; since I travelled around Lancaster for full days, I never got to meet Kate but hope to return at some point and get the opportunity to. The site is beautiful, especially with the newly gravelled picnic area. I did not need electric or water, but they are conveniently located next to the parking pad which was easy for my van to back into. Loved how the birds chirped and fluttered in the bamboo when I went out late at night to walk my pups. I can't wait to return!

David, Katrina and their friend Jackson made our stay feel like family. At the Bamboo Field, it was amazing to stay next to a real life patch of Bamboo with the very cool addition of the birds that live in the Bamboo Field at night. David is a delight and Katrina was so much fun to hang out with, and we were lucky to meet her best friend Jackson too! We loved being able to hook up to electric (30A & 50A available), water was also available, and it is a proper setup that David and Katrina have created for their Harvest Host Guest. We loved that with our electric bikes, we never had to unhook our van to go into town or hit a supermarket. We met kindered spirits and we look forward to coming back to see David and Katrina again.

kate and david couldn’t be nicer. the dedicated Harvest Host parking area is immediately off the road yet you feel secluded by a bamboo field (which we liked) on one side, a yard in the front and a stone patio with a table and chairs (for Harvest Host guests) on the other side. there’s water and electric available. it was delightful to hear the birds from the bamboo field both in the evening and morning. we’re here to visit the GreenDragon Amish Market and this location puts us relatively close. we’re glad we stayed! thanks kate and david!
