Lived in Ohio in this area all our lives. I’ve camped most of my life and love camping anywhere. Our camp area has expanded over the years to its now 6 camp sites that is enjoyed by family. It is so quiet and peaceful that we don’t want to return to the real world.

This is a very nice place to camp. It is away from the road and there are 5 sites nestled back in the woods near a river. There is electric at every site and the sites are level. The hosts allowed us to stay the next day and watch the eclipse take place from their field. A great experience all the way around.

Went for the 2024 Eclipse. LeAnn was so welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. We had an issue with our camper on our way out, so she took time out of her day to get their outdoor bathroom working. The fire is welcoming, the trails idellic, and the stars. The stars are breathtaking. So grateful she made room for us right before the eclipse. We will never forget this trip!

We were here for one night with four other campers. The Bares are very kind and accommodating. Their family campground is super peaceful and well appointed. They have water and electric and a great communal fire pit. We will be coming back!

We loved our stay at Bares. Such a serene spot tucked away in the woods. LeiAnne goes out of her way to help you feel welcome. And the fact that there’s electric hookups is icing on the cake. We’re looking forward to visiting again.

Wonderful area with excellent hosts! The number of spaces leads to great chats with new neighbors in lovely campfire spot. And the sight of a million fireflies flitting over the neighboring soybean field was amazing! Leeann & Rick made sure we were comfortably set up & happy to answer all our questions about the life of a farmer. It was totally cool! Go & stay!!
