Family dentist in this town for 39 years Details: Country boy from Ohio transplanted to the Jersey Shore. Married in 2017 to a woman who loves to travel. We just need more time to do it! Home Town: Barnegat is a quaint old town on the mainland of the Jersey Shore about 30 miles north of Atlantic City. It offers a lot of the small town charm with antique shopping, fishing, crabbing and boating. Beautiul beaches of Long Beach Island are a short drive away, as are the boardwalks of Seaside Heights and its summer excitement. The casinos of Atlantic City are about 45 minutes away, and you can be in Philadelphia or New York in and hour and a half. It's a home town that offers a great life. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Although I've been hosting for a few years, we haven't used the BW site to be a guest. Gonna use it this year! (2021) Skills or Expertise to Share: I have some knowledge of computers and a little about small networks, my office network seems to need a lot of tweeking. Sort of a Jack of All Trades kind of guy.

We stayed here for two nights and had electric, drinkable water and peaceful nights of sleep. A great host and a perfect spot close to the ocean.

We didn’t get to meet Gordan because we arrived on a Friday when his office is closed. That actually is a great time to visit because we had no one else in the parking lot during our two night stay. Arriving during the day Monday through Thursday would mean dodging the cars of patients and staff in the same parking lot. We found lots to do in the area and appreciate the generosity! He asked that instead of paying him for the boondock site, we make a charitable donation. So we left our donation in the offering plate at a local church before we left town.

When contacting our host, he was quick to respond. He also let us know that someone reported that there was a low hanging cable. We are 13'5" and we made it under the cable with no issues. We let Gordon know that as well. The site is a quiet location with an American Legion across the street. We went into town and spent a little time and money at the farmers market! Hope you like the Lost Bayou Sauce Gordon...! Thanks so much for allowing us to stay on your property.
