A couple of part-time RV'ers Details: My Husband and I love to RV and meet fellow RV'ers. We adore the National Parks and have made 2 three month long cross country trips in the US and shorter trips on the east coast and across eastern Canada including Newfoundland. Loved them all! We're interested in history, culture, good food and meeting local folks. Home Town: Sandisfield, MA Favorite Boondocking Locations: We have not done a ton of boondocking, but one of the best was at Joe Skeen BLM campground at El Malpais National Monument (New Mexico). Another nice boondocking location was through Harvest Hosts at Vermillionville outside Lafayette, Louisiana. We've only had one Boondockers Welcome experience as a guest so far, but it was great! We had an awesome time at Bayside Boondocking in Barnegat, NJ! Skills or Expertise to Share: My husband Ron is an excellent amateur genealogist and history buff and has written several history books. I am an IT consultant and love to figure out how to get the best internet on the road. I also love to play the ukulele. When we're not traveling, we participate in a community theater group.

This one will be hard to beat! You have the luxury of sampling paradise. Ron & Jean are hospitable, kind, friendly and an absolute wealth of knowledge. It was an absolute pleasure to meet them. We were spoiled with fresh produce from the beautiful garden and eggs from the girls hot off the press. RV parking was easy to pull in, clean and level. Barred owl crooned in the woods right behind us . Magnificent flora and fauna to discover. The swimming pond is divine. Lush scenery and atmosphere. local history was extremely interesting...thankyou Ron. We rate these hosts and the property ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Much appreciated. Thankyou both so very much

Jean & Ron were wonderful hosts and their property is a fantastic venue to visit for anyone wanting to spend any restful time in the country. We especially appreciated visiting Jean’s garden and meeting her chickens and her generous sharing the bounty from both. Ron’s history lessons of the area and their historic home were very interesting as was the tour of their property, especial their fish pond. We would highly recommend them as hosts to anyone visiting the Berkshire’s !

This was our first Boondockers Welcome experience. We loved it! Ron and Jean were excellent hosts. We camped near the barn and chickens…they gave our cat a lot to look at…and in the morning we had some eggs that Jean gave us. Beautiful area up in the mountains. Loved the history of their property.

Jean and Ron are accommodating and friendly hosts. Ron greeted us and made sure we were settled into our spot next to the chicken coop. We enjoyed watching the chickens. He then gave us a tour of their property including the koi pond. We were impressed with all of the beautifully crafted stone walls that he built on the property. Jean is equally talented and gave me a 5 minute ukulele lesson. I’m now on a mission to learn to play the ukulele. Although it was a short visit, it was inspirational and satisfying. We hope to get another opportunity for a longer stay sometime.

Hosts were ready to greet us and help us set up when we arrived even though they had had some "excitement" at the chicken coop the night before. Very private location backed in next to the barn. Great hiking opportunities and lake nearby. Hosts were full of great ideas for camping in other locations as well. We had a very quiet night with no furry visitors!
