We're in Beersheba Springs, a small town about 30 minutes from I-24. The boondocking spot is located next to a huge barn that is used for local gatherings and weddings, adjacent to a scenic pond and a horse pasture. The small town has only one store -- the Beersheba Springs Market. Please visit and support the store! They sell groceries, gas, B5 diesel, drinks 'n snacks, and prepared food (sandwiches, pizza, subs, BBQ, hand-dipped ice cream, and more). The store also has fast free wifi, some hardware, fresh produce, and some fun souvenirs. The old library is near the store; mostly open on M/W/F but check the sign out front to be sure. We have fast free wifi at the barn. You can see more about the location on www.BeershebaBarn.com The concrete pad that you can use is described as the parking area for the barn. Suggested Local Attractions: Feel free to wander to the back side of the barn and enjoy the little pond and sunset views. You are also welcome to walk down to the pond; to the left is a gate that leads across the little dam to the far side of the pond. Feel free to wander over there; the woods are pretty. Nearby, you might want to visit Savage Gulf State Park, featuring the Great Stone Door, Greeter Falls, and more. Stone Door is a couple of miles away; when you get back to Hiway 56, turn right and look for the brown state park sign in about half a mile. It's an easy 1 mile walk to the overlook. More details at the ranger station once you are inside the park. Greeter Falls is also a couple of miles away; when you get back to Hiway 56, turn left (towards Altamont). Look for the brown & white "Greeter Falls" sign on your right. If you get to Altamont, you went too far. From the Greeter Falls parking lot, it's about a 15 minute walk from the parking lot to the falls. The "Blue Hole" is also pretty. On Saturday afternoons from May through October, the Beersheba Springs Museum is open. When you drive back to Hiway 56, turn left and it's on your right (before the local market).

No smoking, no fireworks, no glass containers. Please be respectful of the neighbors, who are our friends and caretakers for the property. The local market will appreciate it if you can shop there. Limited selection, but a great old country store -- worth a visit.

Travel enthusiasts, looking to explore the US! Details: My wife and I are native Atlantans, and after living in other cities, we returned to the home of our childhoods. Our five children range in ages from 34 down to 14. We seek to explore the US when we can for the next few years. We have both spent some time abroad (she lived overseas for 20-odd years; I've enjoyed some international travel but not on that scale!). John -- Eagle Scout, computer whiz (if I may say so myself), supporter of parks and sidewalks here in Atlanta, and still fit and energetic. Anne -- world-wide traveler, smart, super-savvy, super-fun. My family has been visiting the same small historic town in middle Tennessee since 1870; we operate a small wedding venue there with a barn. Life is good. Seeking to get out and about after a cancer scare in fall 2017. Best to get on with the business of living! Home Town: We live on a park here in Atlanta (inside the perimeter), and have a way-cool treehouse in our backyard -- it sports a solar panel! Favorite Boondocking Locations: Nothing yet! Skills or Expertise to Share: Good with computers, networking, all sorts of electronics, electrical work, identifying trees, and more.

My dogs and I had a great time at the Big Red Barn. Level concrete parking, friendly neighborhood and starry skies. Nice little library and country store with most anything you need! Would love to stop again if ever in the area.
