WEEKEND WARRIORS Details: We live in Colorado. We have a teenage daughter and 2 dogs Weimaraners we treat like children. We take our camper and drive across country Instead of hiring pet and house sitters. We would rather take a vaca with our "kids" pets included. We have 2 acres of property in Como, Colorado that is off the grid. No amenities. Just land to camp on with beautiful views. Home Town: Castle Rock Colorado Skills or Expertise to Share: I am a retired Department of Defense civilian employee. Office of Special investigations.. I currently work for the State Patrol.

This was a perfect 3 day get away off grid that we wanted and needed. We absolutely loved the Fire pits and the Fire wood. The owners did a great job of setting these spots up with spool tables and the Big Foot signs were cute. Very level ground made it easy to set up our 39 foot travel trailer. Several spots to chose from and back into. Easy to turn around. A little off the beaten path and a drive to get to but very quiet and nice. We wish some of our friends could have joined us. Thanks and we'll be back!

As the CEO of Harvest Hosts and Boondockers Welcome, I have been to a LOT of our locations--and this is one of the most scenic and peaceful locations I've visited yet! The property owners did a fantastic job creating three level parking spaces for RVs, all set atop a hill overlooking rolling meadows and mountains. They even took the time to build fire pits, and left fire wood for visitors! Wow! This is a very special part of Colorado, and I hope many more Boondockers Welcome members get to experience this special spot. Thank you for having me!

Thank you so much for hosting us. We looked for the dump station without any luck, unfortunately. But that’s ok….. 😀👍
