OUR SITE IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. WE WILL NOT BE RESPONDING TO ANY MESSAGES UNTIL THE SITE REOPENS - LIKELY SOMETIME IN MAY 2023. We have 12 wooded acres of waterfront property on the Downeast Coast of Maine. RVs can be parked on our lower driveway with a view of the bay (through the trees) or next to our barn. Both spots are level and very quiet. Suggested Local Attractions:We are located on the Schoodic Peninsula, just a few miles from the Schoodic Section of Acadia National Park. Bar Harbor and the main section of Acadia National Park are about an hour away. We are just a couple of miles off of US 1, so we are a great stopping point for folks heading up the coast to New Brunswick and/or Nova Scotia. Calais and the border crossing to Canada are less than 2 hours away. We are hosts simply because we enjoy meeting fellow RVers. We do not expect or want compensation of any type so please do not leave us gifts. Knowing you enjoyed your stay is more than enough. If you absolutely feel you need to do something, leave us a good review.
Vehicle Suitability Information
Separate Tow Vehicle Parking
Outdoor Cooking Allowed
No travel trailers or fifth wheels longer than 21’ - there is limited space to turn around at the bottom of the drive way. Please drIve slow and avoid spinning your wheels as it damages the driveway. No smoking on property. Pets need to be on leash and must be cleaned up after. Quiet hours (including no generators) after 9pm. We have a female german shepherd. She is very people friendly, but does not always like other dogs. She definitely does not like cats.
Access Road Conditions: There is limited room at the bottom of the driveway. A motor home of less than 30’ will have no issues but travel trailers or fifth wheels longer than 21’ will not be able to turn around. Note: Please validate the actual length of your rig with a tape measure. Our driveway is 1/4 mile long. It is gravel, curvy and quite steep- downhill to the house, uphill to get out. While the road can be bumpy, it is completely accessible by any type of vehicle as long as there is no snow or ice on the ground. We ask that you drive slowly up and down and avoid spinning tires, especially when going up hill as it damages the driveway. There are overhead trees and powerlines along the driveway. Our 12’ 6”tall RV clears just fine, but a very tall motorhome might have an issue. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: There is room to park a tow vehicle next to the RV. Our only requirement is that it not block our vehicles from getting out of the garage and up the driveway. There is lots of room, so that shouldn’t be an issue.

These epic BW hosts always have guests (often 2 rigs at a time), yet were so friendly and talkative to each visitor. They offer a resource to the community with aplomb! I was able to enjoy an epic sunrise down by the water (bug spray needed even late in Sept) and enjoyed exploring their beautiful area more! Found a sandy beach in Maine(!) and other spots they recommended. Thanks for the recommendations! Since they offer their (2) BW sites to the community, I was able to vacate my campground stay early to allow new friends to stay together when they couldn't find a spot anywhere. This area of Maine is very popular. So thanks for a sorely needed Boondocking spot! A note: for solar boondockers low on battery due to inclement weather and without a generator, this might not be your spot. It's heavily wooded and does not have hookups. So, if you need juice (as I did); try to plan far ahead and reserve early at Schoodic Peninsula campground in ANP (it can be very busy). Thanks for offering Beautiful Binnshire with (2) spots to the community!

my husband and i stayed for 2 nights last week at this incredible property while visiting friends in the area and sightseeing around Acadia. we parked by the barn, right off the long drive, but private. easy walk down the drive to the water and sat in the chairs to listen to the wildlife and water and have our morning tea (bring bug spray-the mosquitos were relentless by the water!) it was so relaxing! our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed our chats with Celina and Brett. we would love to stay the next time we are in the area. Thanks again for your hospitality and sharing your incredible property!

I arrived later than I hoped to, but the hosts were very clear in the directions they gave me about where to park, so it was easy coming in. The property is incredible, and the view of the bay is to die for. My dog and I enjoyed watching the sunset, and we loved our quick stay here overall. I wish I could've stayed longer... I highly recommend the hosts and their property!

We spent the most awe-inspiring, peaceful 5 nights at this amazing location while exploring Acadia. Brett, Celina, and Ina (their calm-spirited canine) are 5 star hosts. The drive in is beautifully scenic so take your time. Their property is magical. We parked our travel trailer near the barn. Very accessible, long (downhill), gravel driveway opens up to a spacious, quiet, and lovely area. Great privacy. They have a spot near the water with Adirondack chairs awaiting your arrival. The sunrise is stunning. Just bring your mosquito spray! The suggestions they gave for the area are spot on. You gotta try the lobstah roll & lobstah grilled cheese at Lunch on the Wharf in Corea. They close at 3! Please enjoy your stay here as kindly and respectfully as the Binns are. We loved it here and look forward to returning.
