Half way down the Talkeetna Spur road toward Talkeetna in an airway subdivision. Small planes are using the airstrip. Great location to access Denali National park. Suggested Local Attractions:In TALKEETNA, Summer train and boat rides. Hiking trails. Dining and craft shops, brewery tours, etc.

Access Road Conditions: 0.7 miles of good gravel off the paved road. There are 2 entrances- Second entrance is wider and a better turn for large rigs. Pull through to the first entrance. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Anywhere available on the property, just not in front of the guest house.

Home Town: Harry- Talkeetna, Alaska- grew up in Kailua HI Sara- Boise, ID- grew up in San Diego and Washington DC. We spend time in both Talkeetna and Boise- off and on all year. Favorite Boondocking Locations: New to the experience, tho we have traveled fairly extensively all over the world. Still figuring it out! Skills or Expertise to Share: Not afraid to jump in and help on anything- we can take lead or follow just as well.

What a wonderful place to stay to see Talkeetna! Site was perfectly level and tucked in near the forest! Directions and communication were spot on. And great places to walk our dog too. 5 star!

We loved it here! Except for the state bird (mosquitos), our stay was perfect in every way. Directions were excellent, driving along the runway to get to the site was super cool, the site was lovely, private and had great solar, communication with the owner was awesome, and it was very easy backing into the site. Lots of room. We loved the airplane environment and hearing the planes take off. We even got to watch one! The location is super close to the paved path that goes either direction to the highway or Talkeetna and you can ride your bike if you wish. The town is a delight with lots of restaurants (Denali Brewing!) and we loved the Flying Squirrel Cafe. We hated to leave.
