Location
Access Road Conditions: We are located in a hunting club and I mean in the woodddds. 4 miles off hwy. Will have to give directions GPS takes you the wrong way to roads not travelable. The road for about 4 miles is rock and dirt. Depending on the activity of travel from hunting club members and time of year and weather the dirt roads can become very muddy and some minor to major potholes. Can let you know if worth stopping at our place if you email the day before or call. When boon-docking will have to turn around your rig to park next to the Mobile home. To view our roads and our homestead please visit Young at Heart Adventures on YouTube. The link is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1xrn3ZuM4I when they did a video of their boondocking experience at Blue Lagoon Acres. About 4:36 seconds is when you start seeing their journey to our place. Join their channel a lot of good information about traveling. Our hosts were very communicative and responsive. They will send you instructions before hand if you contact them. We had little to no phone service once we got off the main road. The road was OK since it rained a couple days before but we had no problem getting through. Can't imagine going if it had just rained. It's an hour away from Charleston. The parking spot was level and close to the hookups. We had a great stay, lots of room for a pet to run around. They have a really sweet horse in the horse pen.

We had a great stay at Blue Lagoon Acres BW. Do not be concerned with reviews stating that it is off the beaten path. It is about 3.5 miles of level gravel road all the way from the highway right to the parking spot. Host (Michelle) was very nice and gave great directions. We came in after dark which made it seem like it was further than it was. Michelle offered to come out to the road to meet us but we found the drive. They offer water and electric. We awoke to complete silence. When we looked out our window we saw their horse grazing in the pasture. Rumor has it that they have a peacock (Pete) but unfortunately we did not see him. We will definitely be stopping here the next time we head down to Charleston, SC.

Just campers hosting fellow campers. The hosts are very generous for sharing this space. Although it’s off the beaten path a bit, it was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge, literally! My kids loved watching the peacock run around! Thanks for letting us spend a few days.

We had a fantastic stay at Blue Lagoon Acres! The folks were so friendly and accommodating. Communication was great - they provided plenty of directions which were needed because the place was off our GPS. We made it and it was an easy park, easy hookup. We were close to Charleston and enjoyed a day trip to explore but came back to such peace and quiet. Not great AT&T cell service but about 15 min away is a town with lots of businesses. Such a cool stop!
