Craft artist husband and retired bookkeeper wife Details: My husband is a talented mixed media artist that makes lamps, glass murals, wooden furniture and copper sculpture. I am retired after 50 years working in museums, libraries, banks and offices. My husband's hobby is building wooden boats. I like to watch birds, write, read and research genealogy. Home Town: We live in the country just a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean. The towns near us on the coast are popular resort towns. Inland is farmland used for raising chickens, corn and soybean. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We bought our trailer 2 years ago and so far we have made a 7-week trip to west coast, a 4-week trip to Florida and Louisiana, week-long trips to Connecticut and North Carolina. We have put over 16,000 miles on her and keep making small improvements between trips. We enjoy nature, museums, visiting relatives and wineries and just plain finding out-of-the-way places. Skills or Expertise to Share: My husband is an extremely talented carpenter and knows his way around repairing machines and miscellaneous tools. My skills tend to be in area of writing and doing research. And I really can clean stuff.

Lynn and Grant are great hosts. Communication is easy and they give meaningful information and directions about places to go. They are warm and friendly persons. The place is wonderful, after the driveway, a large site (very level) under mature trees, birdsong in the morning, no mosquitos, very quiet at night. Relax, peaceful and secure place. Beaches, groceries and other shop are near by. We will surely come back and we recommend this place and the lovely couple.

This was our first experience with Boondockers Welcome. If all were like this experience, we would stay using BW as much as possible. The hospitality and conversations were wonderful. We were greeted by Grant as soon as we arrived (although our GPS took us to the wrong driveway). Grant and Lynn provided directions which helped locate the right driveway. Grant was very helpful on recommendations for our journey. He allowed us to plug into his electricity and wouldn’t take our money for what we consumed. Lynn was sick but was kind enough to send us a quick note to say hi and the reason for not meeting her. Hope she feels better soon. This stay was wonderful and the hosts were great. The driveway is lined with beautiful mature trees which can make it tight to navigate. But we made it and glad we did.

We are grateful that this host accepted our request to stay! They are the best communicators. Getting into their driveway is a bit tight so you will want to disconnect your tow vehicle beforehand. The driveway is has 2 tight turns and a couple of boughs that will lightly brush your rig if you are 12’ plus, but if you take it slowly you shouldn't have a problem. The location where you will park is very level and we were able to setup quickly. Our goal was to spend a lot of time at the Assateague Island National Seashore in MD. Birdwatching and watching the wild horses was captivating and the sunset was incredible! Meeting and chatting with our Hosts was so easy and pleasurable.  What a wealth of knowledge they shared about the area. We followed some of their suggestions and added some of them to our list for our next trip to the area. We shared stories and experiences as if we were old friends catching up. We hope that if they should ever visit NH that they stay with us. Thank you boatboydad's for a wonderful stay!

Lynns directions made it easy to find their home. Within minutes of our arrival Grant was showing Steve the things he makes and Lynn was sitting in our motorhome having tea and cake. In the evening we had a great time sat around the campfire and a final chat over coffee before we left. Very sociable and friendly people.
