We believe in science and are not at all into conspiracy theories or those who push them. Our house is in rural southeast GA. It’s about 30 minutes to I-95 or I-16 and just under an hour to downtown Savannah. Groceries and fuel are just minutes away in the small town of Guyton. Friendly dogs under direct control and other pets are welcome but please pick up after your animals. Any questions or special requests, just ask. When your stay is confirmed, PLEASE read the detailed directions that you are given. Some GPS units will not get you directly to our house. It’s not hard to find, but people are getting “lost” by following only their GPS. READ THE DIRECTIONS!!! Suggested Local Attractions: The town of Guyton doesn’t have much to offer, but Savannah, Hilton Head, and quite a few cool places are within an hour of here. Most major box stores are in Pooler or Rincon. Pooler is 30 minutes away and Rincon is 25 minutes from our place.

Location
Access Road Conditions: We are located 1/4 mile off a state highway on a bumpy dirt road. It's easy access for most vehicles but one tree overhangs our little dirt road. The branches on that tree hang down to about 10 1/2 feet, just to the left of the centerline of the road. I come and go with my travel trailer which is 11’ 6” tall at the air conditioner, but I am probably rubbing a few very small branches while doing so. Because of this tree, and a tight turn or two on our driveway, we limit guests to those with trailers 25’ or less in length and small to medium sized RVs. Large Class A coaches, or long travel trailers or fifth wheel trailers are probably not a good option here. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Our place is flat and fairly easy to access but requires one to execute a very tight 180 degree turn and then back into the spot where you will park alongside our workshop.

An Alaskan and Mainer currently residing in the south! Details: Rog was a pilot during his career and is now mostly retired. Bonnie is a flight attendant, currently on leave from her job with a major US airline. As RVers ourselves, we have traveled across the country and to and from Alaska in a variety of different RVs. Boondocking is something we’ve been doing since before it even had an official name. Our current RV is a 28' Outdoors RV Products travel trailer. We are both non-smokers and choose to not share our space with smokers, many of whom throw their butts on the ground and simply make a mess. We want none of that so please find another place if you feel the need to smoke. Home Town: We currently live near the small town of Guyton, GA, about 35 minutes northwest of Savannah Hilton Head International Airport. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Alaska, Canada, and much of the western part of the US are the places we have really enjoyed while boondocking. Being next to any kind of water is always a treat! Skills or Expertise to Share: Rog is a tool guy and pretty good at building and repairing things. Boats, airplanes, horses and other animals, gardening, and home repair, are some of the things we enjoy tinkering with and learning about.

Very accommodating host. We were met by the road and directed where to park in a large area and plenty of room to maneuver. Rog was a great host for our 2 night stay. We highly recommend Bonnie Brook.

We loved our stay!! Quiet and comfortable. Roger's intructions on how to get to the property are very helpful. We slept very well. Roger was a great host, and we enjoyed talking with him. He gave us excellent recommendations, and we hope to stay with him again!

Good communication before we arrived. Host met us at the entry for parking and made sure we didn’t need anything else. About an hour from Savannah. Would recommend a stay here!

Turns out, Bonnie and I both grew up in Maine and Roger is a transplanted Alaskan. The four of us had a great conversation. The spot we parked was comfortably away fro the main house: flat and quite. Friendly hosts and a great location.
