We are located in Birch Harbor, Maine, a small village in Downeast Maine that is part of the Town of Gouldsboro. A small market, gas station, post office, and a friendly-to-visit restaurant/bar are all within easy walking distance. Please arrive before dark to facilitate parking and getting situated. The nature of our driveway and various parking or turn-around spots requires that we exclude those travelers pulling a trailer of any type. Truck campers, Class B or smaller Class C RVs will not have a problem, as long as you can safely turn your rig around in smaller areas. Friendly dogs under your control, and most other pets are welcome. We love animals, but please pick up after yours! We used to host in southeast Georgia and some of our reviews may reflect information from our previous location that no longer apply to our property here in Maine! Any questions or special requests, just ask! We have good Verizon cell coverage here at our property and our guest Wifi network MAY be available, depending upon where you are parked. The pictures I posted here were all taken at either at our property or within several minutes driving time from our house. Suggested Local Attractions: Coastal Maine is a lovely spot and we are just over a mile from the entry to the loop road into Acadia National Park. Check out the Pickled Wrinkle and several other food/drink places nearby. Many of these places are seasonal, shutting down or having limited hours except during the summer season. The town of Winter Harbor is just 2 miles away and has a museum, several galleries, a small store, and several places to eat or drink that may also close or have limited hours during the off season.

An Alaskan and Mainer currently residing in coastal Maine! Details: Rog was a pilot during most of his working career and is now mostly retired. Bonnie is a flight attendant for a major US airline. We have driven across much of America and Canada, including trips to and from Alaska in a variety of different RVs. Boondocking is something we’ve been doing since before it even had an official name. A year and a half ago, we had the opportunity to sell our 28' travel trailer for significantly more money than we had into it, so we are currently without an RV or camper of any type. The back property line of our 20 acre property is shared with the Schoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia National Park. The entrance to the park loop road is just over a mile from our house. Home Town: We currently live in Birch Harbor, Maine, a small coastal village that is part of the Town of Gouldsboro. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Alaska, Canada, and much of the western part of the US are the places we have really enjoyed while boondocking. Being next to any kind of water is always a treat! Skills or Expertise to Share: Rog is a tool guy and pretty good at building and repairing things. Boats, airplanes, animals, gardening, and home repair, are some of the things we enjoy tinkering with and learning about.

With working remotely we try to stay in one spot during the week. Saying here made working and exploring Acadia so easy. The property was great and our dogs had the best time running around.

Very accommodating host. We were met by the road and directed where to park in a large area and plenty of room to maneuver. Rog was a great host for our 2 night stay. We highly recommend Bonnie Brook.

We loved our stay!! Quiet and comfortable. Roger's intructions on how to get to the property are very helpful. We slept very well. Roger was a great host, and we enjoyed talking with him. He gave us excellent recommendations, and we hope to stay with him again!
