We are on private hilly 320 acres with a 40 acre (non-swimming) lake, trails with great views, and a variety of possible RV spots - depending on your rig. Access is via 1 mile of good gravel off of a paved road. If you like a quiet spot above or beside a lake with great views, starry skies without light pollution, birds singing, coyotes vocalizing at night and probable sightings of deer ; you will feel right at home. Suggested Local Attractions:There is a large recreational lake with boat launch and swimming beach about 10 minutes away. We are in Lakeland County, with numerous lakes and Provincial and Municipal campgrounds. There is a small convenience store and gas station 2 miles away, and it is about 35 minutes to the nearest town for shopping, swimming pool, RV service center etc.

Location

Access Road Conditions: We have a variety of possible RV locations accessed via gravel or farm roads with some curves. Most are hilly and may need 4 wheel drive depending on the weather. Dry camping available on the top of high hills with great views. However, parking near our house is available in wet or dry weather. You just won’t have as much privacy or views. We have cold winters with lots of snow so are not accepting RV's from mid October until May. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: There is lots of space on our property. Smaller trailers may have access to choice locations, but we can accommodate anyone. Tow parking location will vary with which RV location is used. Pull through available in some areas.

Looking forward to more travel, photography, new friends and food experiences. Details: Peter's past careers were Marine / Power Engineer Technician, Mechanical Contractor, Gas Fitter, Sawyer (Woodmizer Branch Manager), and Pilot; while Marcia taught school (K- Jr College). About 20 years ago we became meat goat ranchers at our current location, running herds of 500-800 goats and raising Livestock Guardian Dogs. Peter is currently a firewood and snow shoveling expert : ) Home Town: When not "on the road", we enjoy our 320 acres with walking trails through rolling treed hills where we can overlook views of the surrounding rural countryside, dugouts and private lake. We are about 35 - 55 minutes from St Paul, Lac La Biche and Bonnyville in Lakeland County. We are less than 10 minutes from a boat launch on a large popular lake where many people have recreational homes on large lots.

The Hosts are beyond kind and friendly. Really enjoyed my stay, chatting with them around the fire was just a bonus. The view is incredible, very peaceful and relaxing. I think my dog enjoyed their property more than i did, lots of space for her to walk and play. Would highly recommend.

From the moment we made our request to stay which was responded to in the blink of an eye to the time we said good bye this was our best stay since we started camping. Communications from Marcia were clear including estimated driving times , how to work the gate and what route to take to the lake. We had our choice of where to park and Peter had supplied an assortment of levelling blocks so we even made a little step up for easier access to our RV. Marcia and Peter invited us on a tour of their farm in their 4X4 which drove home how hilly the area is(roller coaster ride thru the fields and up and down the hills) We had a great BBQ at the fire pit and sat and chatted thru the evening. Great sunset and northern lights. Lots of birds (including a huge flock of pelicans). Scenic paths to walk so that our dog loved the location too! We really enjoyed our stay and definitely look forward to future visits

Wonderful and helpful hosts to a very special boondocking experience on their property. Beautiful views with lots of room to roam for both myself and dog. Peter and Marcia were generous with their space and took the time to enjoy a campfire with me and share stories. Highly recommend this stay.

Boreal Hills was a lovely, peaceful retreat. Just what we needed. Peter and Marcia were gracious hosts. There was great communication before arrival and Marcia met us when we arrived to guide us to our spot. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting around the campfire, Peter is a great storyteller! The site was quiet and private with lovely views of the lake and we were treated to an amazing display of northern lights. This is a perfect spot for stargazing! We would definitely return here again.

Peter and Marcie were amazing hosts. From the initial request to guiding us through their property to park on their private lake. Within minutes of parking on their beautiful lookout, a large fire was started and the chats began. We stayed up late and swapped stories while our dog explored their property. Their spot is very private and better than any campground you'll stay at. We are already planning another excursion back to here to spend some more time with Peter and Marcie!
