Please read this description to the end. It will answer many questions you may have. Our extremely quiet 10 acre ranch is home to horses, chickens, cats, and goats. Tables, chairs, and plenty of "outside" let you relax (especially if you've been a bit "cramped" in the RV.) Due to the inherent dangers presented by livestock, we cannot accommodate guests under 18 years of age or dogs over 20 lbs. Please do not ask for an exception. Standard electrical connections: 50 amp, 30 amp, and 20 amp (GFCI) are right at the site, and well-water is available 80 feet away. We have WiFi, and cell service is good. Please share your phone number or your stay may be declined. We love Boondocking and enjoy meeting other Boondockers. Suggested Local Attractions:Off Leash Dog Park Typhoon Texas (seasonal waterpark) Katy Mills Mall Excellent Birding Katy Rice Festival Barrel Racing / Training on our place High School and Professional Rodeos Katy Asian Mall Public Library Gas, Diesel, and Propane nearby Camping World and Ron Hoover RV & Marine are nearby for repairs or supplies. Please note that portions of Highway 99 (The Grand Parkway) are a TOLL road, and cash is NOT accepted. If you do not have an "EZ Tag", it might be best to avoid this road, even if your GPS suggests it.

Location

Access Road Conditions: • The gate on Stockdick School Road has an opening of 15+ feet. • Normally, even the largest rig can turn around in our pasture. • Please let us help you turn around, so we can keep the horses from escaping! • The pasture may become muddy after heavy rains. You can stay on the gravel road if you wish. • All but the smallest rigs will need to back into the RV spot, but the lane is wide and easy to negotiate (We will help.) • Worst case, you might choose to back 175 feet back from the main road. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We have a gravel road to the RV site. You may park as near or as far from your rig as you wish.

Truly Texas TV. Wonderful close up living with horses, goats, chickens. Multigeneration group gives family touch. John gave great help getting us parked and set up and Karen was so kind adding a needed day to our stay and making sure we were cared for!

Loved staying here. The horses, goats and chickens were extremely friendly. Gave the horses tons of carrots and love. The goats love crackers. One hen was kind and laid an eye by our door. It was super easy to park our 36’ toy hauler. Turned around in the horse field. Hosts are super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here since its so close to Houston.

If you want to be close to the big city but still have that country life then don’t hesitate….stop here. John and Karen are the most welcoming and kind people you’ll ever meet. And…there’s nothing quite like waking up to horses, goats and chickens a few feet from your rig. Karen even offered to let us ride one of her horses and had fresh eggs galore. We will definitely be back when we make it through Katy again. Thanks John & Karen!
