This is a 30 acre piece of land in Custer County. There is a driveway into a fenced in area that is usually locked. This is a dry camping spot, no utilities, pack it in and pack it out. If nobody is there you can park on the driveway, otherwise I think you should be able to pull off to the side of the driveway. Just watch out for rocks. There is no turn around available on the driveway so you would be turning around in the field or backing in. There are cattle around so be aware of that. I don't think they would bother you if your there for a short period. I keep my camper in the fenced in area as I'm not there all the the time and they like to rub up against it. Suggested Local Attractions:Great Sand Dunes is over the mountains from here in the San Luis Valley This site is at around 9000 ft so be aware of that. You can get altitude sickness if you are coming up suddenly from a low altitude. I've camped up here in the winter time but wouldn't suggest it for everyone. Be aware of the weather no matter what time of the year. I have had hail damage in the summer.

We arrived late afternoon after a long and frustrating day on the road. Host met us as we arrived, he was very friendly and helpful to safely get us into an awesome parking area. The views were unbelievably awesome! We had a very peaceful and restful evening. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

This stop is located in a very secluded area, with beautiful panoramic mountain views. USE THE ADDRESS to get there, DO NOT use the coordinates, it brought us down the road to someone elses property. when parking, stay at the top, close to the driveway, down below it gets very unlevel and we found about 10 large nails while down there. Also, the driveway is very narrow, so make sure you have someone go out and watch you if your rig is larger. Other than that, very peaceful and secluded location!

We had a nice quiet time. Small town about 17 miles away with groceries. Wildlife around. Hiking trails nearby. The property owner was awesome. Live Well ✌😊

We stayed one night and it was perfect. I thought about not leaving a review so no one would find out about this place. We stopped one night as we traveled to a wedding. We drove in to green grass, mountains, and rainbows. The only contact we had was with cows walking by and looking at us. Remote and majestic.
