We are located where the farms are turning into the north woods with some of both around us. Buttercup Brook and a pond are in our back yard, but not visible from the RV parking area. Our 3+ acres are a pleasant walk as are the quiet country roads in this area. Our parking area is a gravel pad in front of our garage, where our rig is located in the picture. I was standing on the road to take the picture. There is some road noise, but not much unless farms are harvesting crops in nearby fields. (Note: AT&T reception is poor.) We've recently installed a WiFi extender for our guests to use. We've also upgraded the GFCI outlet for guest use. Suggested Local Attractions:This county bills itself as the "Waterfall Capital of Wisconsin" with 13 waterfalls.

Retired in Wisconsin Details: We replaced our older truck camper with a new Northstar Laredo SC in 2018. Then I retired in May 2019 after a career in the livestock nutrition business. Since I retired we have traveled to Canada (NW Ontario) to do some fishing, upstate New York and Vermont, and also explored Missouri to New Mexico. In our travels we enjoy hiking, museums and general sightseeing. We haven't put bicycle racks onto our camper yet but expect to in the future. We pull a 17ft boat when we're going fishing. Home Town: Porterfield, Wisconsin. An hour north of Green Bay and bordering on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Skills or Expertise to Share: In my first six months of retirement we spent 94 nights in the camper. We are still learning how to pack etc for the longer trips. I'm in the process of switching to lithium batteries in our camper. When home our hobbies are woodworking and sewing.

Although we have stayed at a number of HH locations, this was our first Boondockers Welcome experience, and a delightful one it was. GPS had us at a different address, but we still found the place easily. Kathy & Bob are poster people for BW! Nice, level site with electric hookup AND wi-fi. The latter so welcome as several days without and needing to do some business connections. In the cool of the evening we had a pleasant chat with them on the patio, sharing travel experiences. Kathy gave me a bottle of ginger beer that was the best I've had. Thanks!

Parking was super easy. Our Host greeted us and we began talking with each other as if we had already been friends. After parking, we were invited to sit on the patio with the Hosts and we continued the friendly chats exploring a range of subjects. We slept very well. We certainly hope to come again when we have time to explore the “waterfall capital”.

Bob and Cathy are amazing hosts. They not only gave us a lot of informative on the local area, but when they found out we were headed to the upper peninsula, they gathered up a lot of information on it. Just amazing host!
