By the Lake

By the Lake is where we call home. Located on lightly traveled road that leads to our town's side of lake recreation area. Lake serves as water supply for the two adjoining towns. We have a shady parking spot nestled in the trees at lower end of our driveway. We park our travel trailer here when not in use. We can move our camper to top of our driveway also to open spot up to visitors. Suggested Local Attractions:Easy 200 yard walk to lake recreation area with picnic tables and fishing dock. Less than 1/2 mile drive to boat ramp for putting in kayaks or jon boat/canoe rentals as well as additional fishing dock. Lake has less than 10hp motor requirement. Our local eatery/diner is 1 mile away, can walk or bike by crossing two lane highway and accessing Rail Trail. Historic Faith Rock trail can be accessed in town via foot bridge over the river and is about 3/4 mile loop. NC Zoo in Asheboro is about 15 minute drive. Richard Petty Museum in Randleman is 25 minute drive. Richland Creek Canopy Tours (Ziplines) is 15 minute drive. Zimmerman Vineyards and Childress Vineyards are 30 and 45 minute drives respectively.
