This is a rustic spot between an old barn and farm sheds, with a light use County Road on one side, and the view of a marshy shallow bay and low mountains in background on the other side of the greater Ottawa River. It is located 400m from our house, so the spot is quite reclusive and somewhat secluded; (but you will be located +/- 50m from a ´relatively' quiet secondary country road.) Due to the remoteness from our home, the site is very tranquil, and you will be left to your privacy; We might come by briefly once or twice a day to verify if everything's OK related to the site . Very rustic and rural, but can be picturesque, depending an your taste. Has direct access to the end of a marshy bay, and a short nature walk / path. The mentioned County Rd 24 is a designated Cycle Route in both directions. Area is also great for canoeing, kayak, photography, birdwatching, meditating, etc. NOT recommended with children. The Scenery was amazing. Was so peaceful. Sean was careful to provide privacy however we always looked forward to his visits and conversations. Our Dog Loki had the best time. Highly recommend.

A stunning location, on a quaint homestead, that allowed us to relax and unwind after a long day of travel. The view of the water, spectacular breezes, frolicking baby foxes, along with the quiet orchestra of the birds and frogs, all contributed to the most perfect stay. Many thanks to our hosts for the opportunity to stay in this idyllic location. We enjoyed the chats. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful, quiet and serene place to stay! We had been traveling for almost a month and needed a place to stop and regroup! This place was perfect!! Shaun was a great host! He got us settled. Let us know where everything was and then gave us privacy to enjoy his wonderful place. He phoned to make sure there was nothing else we needed. Our dogs had lots of space to run and play! Recommend this to all weary travelers!

What a great place. We were looking for a place near the water to do some paddlboarding. We did not know what to expect, as this was our first BW stay. We were in for a major surprise. We love to listen to music, all the time, but we did not. We just listened to the nature. Lots of birds, lots of life. Our hosts did everything you could hope for from a perfect host. We were in love with the place. We were there when a major storm hit the region. Winds gusting at 130km/hr, they offered us the shelter. They allowed us to park near their house. They made sure we were OK. Luckily, we did not get any damage, but unfortunately some trees were badly damaged, and one garage moved from its location, but no one was hurt. We will definitely go back again this summer. I highly recommend it.
