This sloped wooded retreat is located in the rolling hills of central PEI, between New Glasgow and Stanley Bridge. After enjoying BW hosts around North America prior to the pandemic, we wanted to give back. So, we purchased this lot in the fall of 2020 and have been actively working on making it a peaceful get-away for our family and guests. It is very quiet and safe place for you to unwind or leave your RV while exploring beautiful PEI. Suggested Local Attractions: We are located in the center of PEI, so everything tip to tip is within a couple of hours. Within 10-20 minutes of our location, there are several beaches, golf courses, shops, restaurants, trails, and more. The most famous are Anne of Green Gables Museum and the Cavendish tourist area. We are just 35 minutes to both downtown Charlottetown and Summerside.

Location
Access Road Conditions: Our location is down a sloped cottage lane that has some right angle turns and can be rough if we have had heavy rains but it is ok if you take your time and ride the higher part. We are only in approximately 250 metres (less than 1/4 mile). The best approach by turning left onto Hope Valley Drive by heading north on St Patricks Rd (Rte 266) after turning off St Mary's Road (Rte 224) onto Saint Ann's Road and then right onto St Patricks Rd at the church. Our road is on the left down from the cemetary and before the stop sign. We and our family and friends have have no trouble getting in a 35' x 13 1/2' tall travel trailers and 5th wheels. There is plenty of room to drive into the lot and turn to back into our guest parking area. We are actively working on leveling out the slope for improved parking. Retired couple from PEI Details: We both grew up on PEI but Randy is a city boy and Brenda is from a small community in rural PEI. After devoting over 30 years to our careers, we hit the road in April 2019 to spend a year exploring North America. We returned in March 2020 and are looking forward to getting back on the road as soon as we can. Brenda says Randy is handy and creative. He was well respected in his career at the local harness (horse) racing track where he maintained the race surface and barn area. He has done an amazing job of driving over 45,000 KMS on our dream road trip. During the trip he was told a few times that he follows directions well. Randy says Brenda is retired from the local ‘telephone’ company where she worked in various departments but excelled at customer service, planning and leading project teams. She is smart, kind, generous and the lead planner for our travels. She did a wonderful job of ‘Nagigating’ our travels, and if she could just get her lefts and rights straight, she would be a star at it. Luckily after 35 years together I can follow her body language most of the time. We have 2 amazing grown children and 3 incredible grandsons. We both love meeting people and hearing about their adventures. Home Town: Stratford, Prince Edward Island Skills or Expertise to Share: Randy is a great handy person and Brenda excels at planning and organizing. Brenda also loves photography and travel.

This property suited us very well. We had a level pad to park on, and our host was very welcoming, and informative about areas to explore. It was very quiet at night, with lots of bird sounds in the morning. We would definitely like to return.

Brenda is a very gracious host. She met us on our arrival with lots of travel literature in hand and suggestions for how to enjoy what the region has to offer. We had a lovely private parking spot and enjoyed an evening of great conversation with Brenda and other Boondockers staying there as well. Follow Brenda’s directions carefully as the location can be hard to find otherwise. But well worth the stop.
