Almost 5 acres of isolated country. Exposure to the sun is second to non so if you have solar panels you will have a great source of solar much of the day. Property sets off the road with a long driveway which provides privacy and a little added sence of security. Water hook up is available if needed. I am easy going and would love nothing more then to see children and pets running around having a good time. Plenty of room to fly drones and RC planes please just be respectful to other guests. For those with motorhomes and no tow vehicle I will be more tben happy to shuttle you to any location needed in the immediate area. Please know that the neighbors do run dirt bikes on their property in the afternoon and weekends but most always stop by dark just in case that noise would be an issue. Suggested Local Attractions:Columbia, easy interstate access to Georgia, North Carolina and Flordia. Beautiful lake murray close by as well as congree Nation forest, the only water fall in the midlands of South Carolina and plenty of state parks.
Vehicle Suitability Information
Outdoor Cooking Allowed
Separate Tow Vehicle Parking
Offleash Area for Pets
Smoking is permitted but please be mindful of other guest and please do not throw butts on the ground. Generator use is welcomed as long as it will not be an issue for other boondockers. I typically only have two at any given time but have room for many more. If you need to run a generator for medical issues or a/c in warm weather and there are other boondockers that could be affected we can try to find you a spot to make usage more practical. Dogs are more then welcome to be off leash as long as they are not aggressive and respond to commands. I have a neighbor with dogs and don't want to cause any issues. I do as that you please clean up any mess your dog makes. Biggest rule is please consider yourself at home during your stay and have fun and if you need anything feel free to ask.
Access Road Conditions: Driveway is long and is sand. There is one hill with softer sand which may require giving it a little throttle. Improvements will be made soon. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Plenty of room to park next to RV

Born, raised and lived most of my life in Maine. Retired from Law Enforcement and moved to South Carolina in 2018 where I currently work as a manager at Lowe's and own a lawn care company. Love hosting as it gives me a chance to meet new people. In my spare time you can usually find me working on projects around my property. Home Town: Pelion SC. Skills or Expertise to Share: Can do just about a little of everything, just enough to get myself in trouble some times .

This was our first experience with harvest host/boondockers welcome. We were not disappointed! Dave’s land offers a beautiful area to relax and enjoy. Our 3, young kids loved running around the land with their pup and Dave even let them put their slackline up. He’s a friendly, laidback guy and it was nice to have some conversations with him during our stay. Each of our kids said Dave’s land was the higight of their trip to SC (even though we also visit Congaree and few other places 😂). If we’re passing through the area again, we will definitely be contacting Dave!

I had a good stay at Dave's Carolina Haven. Dave gave easy to follow directions and has a sign up to help guide you to the right driveway. I got in easily with my 26' class A. The sand is not very deep and the hill is so slight that it doesn't even register on my apple watch as going uphill. Make sure you put in the road name as "sandspur" and not "sand spur" or you will get directions to a farm in Denmark like one unfortunate previous reviewer. This host is most definitely in Pelion.

A beautiful place in the nature. Despite some sandy soil, the journey was no problem at all. Great directions. Unfortunately, we could not get to know the host in person, but we had a great conversation via text. We were allowed to arrive late due to our route and our place was marked with an traffic cone. Two more motorhomes there. Huge floor space on the lawn. One generator of the others ran quite loudly. Barking dogs and a crowing rooster were not disturbing and beautiful for us in the morning. Thank you for this safe place! Would recommend the place :)

The site is high and dry, quite level and the host's provision of water was unexpected but deeply welcomed. The host and I enjoyed some time chatting about this and that. I felt that we could have spent a lot of time chatting, but due to the tail end of a hurricane dropping a lot of rain, we didn't spend as much time as we would have liked. Delightful stay, and we would return for another stay for sure. Thanks!

The biggest front yard was my world for the day. My view was grass land and woods. Host came by with dogs once, offered well water hookup and left me to my quiet retreat. Plenty of parking and room to turn around once you get to yard but tricky getting there for my 65' long rig. Good stay.
