We are Jim and Theresa Mills. Our lakeside home is 25 miles southwest of Wasilla, Alaska. We are about 70 miles from Anchorage and are a good base for exploring north of Anchorage to places like Talkeetna or Denali Park. We are very close to the Little Su River. We have a slide in truck camper that we us to travel Alaska in the summertime and to travel outside of Alaska in the winter to the lower 48. We travel with our Yellow Lab, Charlie.

Our stay at Carpenter Lake Hideaway was everything we could have hoped for. Communication was timely and directions to get there very clear. Access into our parking spot was easy and Jim & Theresa were wonderful hosts to sit and visit with. We took a canoe out on the lake one morning and had a very peaceful paddle around the lake and saw one moose and lots of kingfishers. The back roads were also a nice place to ride our bicycles. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly peaceful place to stay.

A quiet beautiful place in nature. We enjoyed the birds, Mother Moos with child and swam in the lake. A place to relax. The contact with the hosts went super by mail. Thank you so much for the unlimited hospitality.

Both Jim and Theresa were welcoming from the moment we drove up. Their dog, Charlie, was also an excellent host and a very lovable lab. The spot was easy to access and it was flat. Great spot, thank you for hosting us!!!

Theresa and Jim are wonderful hosts. Their property is a distance from the closest towm and very peaceful, quiet and beautiful. Well, worth the trip to find it. My stay was so relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property looking out over the lake. Wonderful hosts, super friendly lab. Very peaceful, perfect place to relax, reflect, enjoy the sounds and sites of nature. Definitely recommend veering off the highway to stay here.
