We have an open grassy area of about 1 acre surrounded by woods available at about 1/4 mile beyond our home. We are located in northeastern Vermont - the rural, unspoiled part of the state. There are no hook-ups at the site but we can provide access to fresh water and 30 amp hook-up at the house in an emergency. The boondocking area has a gentle slope so you will need levelers. A walk in the woods beyond crosses 2 small streams with footbridges. We may have to restrict use of the area during a wet spring/early summer so check ahead. Suggested Local Attractions:Fairbanks Museum of Natural History & Planetarium , St. Johnsbury. St. Johnsbury Athenaeum containing art from Europe & the U.S., near Kingdom Trails at Burke Mountain. Restaurants: The Creamery, Goodfellows, Danville Inn in Danville.

Dick likes old CARS and Nancy is a sculptor CARVING stone. Details: We purchased our RV in the spring of 2017 and are looking forward to doing some exploring. More than ten years ago we started building our present house. We finished the interior ourselves and now find that we are ready for new adventures. Dick formerly owned an antique clock shop and continues to repair and restore clocks at home. His love of old cars finds a few at a time in our garage making the knowledge and ability to work on them a necessity. Nancy is a former art teacher who retired to become a full-time sculptor. Her love is carving stone using the many colors and types of marble found in VT. Her largest sculpture, however, was the design of our new home and all its artistic enhancements. Home Town: Danville is a small town near St. Johnsbury in northeast VT. From its vantage point you can find incredible views of the Presidential Mountains of New Hampshire. The community lies around a Town Green where the Danville Fair takes place in August and Autumn on the Green happens in early October. Skills or Expertise to Share: We are both mechanically inclined and we have a LOT of tools, if needed.

Nancy is a super host and a talented sculptor. She is welcoming and friendly as is Ambyr her dog. The location gives the feeling of being deep in the Vermont woods but is close to Danville and the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail which we rode. Loved our stay. Don & Joanna

my husband and i stayed 1 night travelling from OH to ME. this is a beautiful location in the Green Mountains of VT. off the beaten path, but that's what camping is all about! our host Nancy met us on the driveway and directed us down the gravel path to the open field that we camped at. there was 1 other camper (who had been a repeat camper at this site) who we met and was very friendly. plenty of space between us, so we did not feel on top of one another. the night sky was amazing and saw the milky way! we didn't get a chance to meet Dick, but thank you again Nancy for your hospitality and sharing your incredible property!

We stayed in a field a little way down the road from their house. Although we did not have cell service, we thouroughly enjoyed being “off the grid” and out of earshot on their beautiful property.… very quiet and peaceful. A memorable stay that we would recommend to anyone. Thank you for the hospitality. We enjoyed meeting you!

I enjoyed meeting and conversation these generous and interesting hosts. I highly recommend a stop here which brought me near to the White Mtns. Thank you D&N for a memorable stay.
