Rv'ers for 10 years now, we tend to travel the secondary and back country roads in Canada and the US in search of adventure. Our favorite destinations are right here on Vancouver Island, found by traveling down forestry roads to hidden lakes and streams. Our one acre property is located about 10 minutes both from downtown Duncan and from 2 large bays on the ocean. The scenic Cowichan River runs from Lake Cowichan to Cowichan Bay offering swimming, kayaking, migratory salmon viewing and fishing. The area attracts many hikers and mountain bikers to the many trails nearby. For our francophone guests: "Ici on parle Français". We also have a 2 yr old dog (really our sons - we're the granddogparents!). He is a Mini Shepherd who is very friendly and loveable.

We stayed here and were amazed at how peaceful and tranquil our night was. The pitch is flat and roomy and not too difficult to get to. Our hosts made us feel extremely welcome and we enjoyed visiting with them in the evening. we definitely recommend a stay at Gardeners Delight. Thankyou for sharing your adventures and tips. This garden oasis was a great place to stay, waking up to chickens and a yard for our toddler and dog to play in. Our hosts were very flexible, welcoming, and gave great advice about the neighborhood.

Cannot praise Cathy and Preston enough. Although it was wet, they found us a place and made sure that we were comfortable. Had a great garden tour, along with the chickens. Shared stories and a glass a wine. Highly recommended.
