Level gravel area in quiet neighborhood setting *** We have been adopted by a very very very lovey outside cat that we named "TeeBee". He has nose bopped cats and dogs sitting on laps without any problem....but I wouldn't fully "trust" him to keep his manners :) He has been neutered is relatively calm but be aware ... he is more than willing to seek out any laps that will accept him for some loving. ***

House Rules
All animals must be on a leash AT ALL TIMES when outside the camper. All "messes" from pets will need to be cleaned up and disposed of properly. Smoking allowed at your immediate camp site or at fire pit area and all butts should be picked up. Generators would be allowed 24 hrs ... provided they are not a noise nuisance to the neighbors. Children must be supervised at all times. The firepit area has been updated so it is now graveled and includes a picnic table for your use. Please leave us a "review" and we'll gladly leave one for you as well.
Location
Please see photos for overview of lot. We have a circle drive on a corner lot with a designated gravel spot for guest camper parking. If you have a truck camper, you can leave it all together or you can off load the camper. Pull behinds would probably want to unhook to take advantage of the space. Motorhomes are also welcome. If traveling in pairs, we do have a large wide driveway and another unit could be accommodated if arrangements are made in advance.

We live in wonderful Western Kentucky just a short distance from I-24 and exit 16. We have an acre lot with a gravel circle drive that makes our corner lot accessible and easy to get in/out of. Our parking spot is mostly level with a 30 amp service available. You are welcome to refill your water tank. Generators can be ran 24/7 if they are not unreasonably loud. If you have pets, we do require them to be on a leash and to pick up after them (even on the grass please). There is a firepit available and bundles of wood would be available for purchase (less than parks or stores charge :) ). Dump stations are close at the Loves Truck Stop (5 miles away) or a welcome center (about 20 miles). We are about 6 miles from Kentucky Lake (See Kentucky Dam Marina on google for location). Our location has room for you to unload a truck camper or unhitch your trailer so you can use your truck/car to visit some our local sites ... Purple Toad Winery, Paducah National Quilt Museum or traverse "The Trace". We are in our 60's and now have a new to us 2017 33' Jayco Greyhawk Class C. We enjoy just getting away for the weekends. We have a diabetic cat so we have to bring him and his sister with us however they stay strictly in the camper once we park. We actually sold the Lance 1172 truck camper to get the Class C so it was easier on the cats! We have enjoyed being HOST to many folks so far and look forward to getting to be Guests. Hope to see you soon!

We stayed here for one night in August and couldn't be more pleased. A very pleasant evening and Lisa was extremely friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the fire pit and conversation. Thank you.

We had a wonderful 1st Boondocker Welcome stay at Possum Trot Place. Lisa was very understanding about an arrival later than we planned due to our dog needing more stops than we expected and some unplanned detours. We arrived after dark, but Lisa guided us to our location and we quickly set up and ate dinner. After dinner we enjoyed some time by Lisa’s fire and she shared some great information to help us “newbie” motor home owners. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
