Centrally located between Hickory, Shelby, Morganton and Lincolnton. Fifteen minutes from South Mountain State Park with trails and waterfalls. We are an hour west of Charlotte and 90 minutes east of Asheville. The perfect place to stop on your way or to catch festivals in little towns nearby or go hiking in the State Park. Cherish Life Farm sums it up for us. We have a few acres where we are living our retirement dream by keeping bees, gardening, playing music, operating ham radio, and enjoying the beautiful views that God has blessed us with. We have full service hook ups beside the barn as you see pictured, but if you prefer to be back in the woods just a bit with lots of shade, you can park there and take advantage of the hook ups when you like. Plenty of turn around space. Fire ring is provided weather permitting. Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times. Feel free to sit on the deck at the barn and enjoy your morning coffee where you can see from Charlotte to Shelby to South Mountains.

We are a retired couple (from IT and Nursing) who recently made the decision that it is time to travel and see new sites. The past 9 years have been spent updating our home and property and we are DIY folks. Our interests are gardening, beekeeping, reading, music (playing and listening), and ham radio operations to name a few. We live in the foothills of NC with a panoramic view that God has blessed us to enjoy. We love animals, being outdoors, and just good conversation over a glass of wine. Although new to RV'ing with a 25 ft Class A, we are ready to hit the road.

This location is amazing and Larry and Linda Jo are wonderful hosts. They met me on the way in to help me get the RV into its spot and when I was leaving, they gave me good advice on how to avoid holiday traffic getting to my next location. I enjoyed the beautiful view and took a walk in the woods with the dog. There are also full hookups and wifi! Got my 26' class A up the hill and gravel path no problem. If you feel like you can't make it, just back up a few feet and get a little bit of momentum. There's room to maneuver.

As a new RV traveler and Harvest Host/Boondocker member I am grateful to have such beautiful places to stay. This site is a little off the beaten path (which we love) and our hosts were very warm and welcoming. Thank you for sharing your beautiful farm!!

Linda Jo and Larry were the most gracious hosts! They both came to meet me outside upon arrival, and Larry showed me to and around my parking spot, despite the rain! I wish I had been feeling better physically to have a chance to enjoy this beautiful location, but the time I did spend was amazing. Communication was great, full power hookup and water with a sewer to dump before leaving! Can’t wait to stay with them again!

Linda Jo and Larry were the most gracious hosts! Yes, the hill was a bit intimidating going up, but the view and stay was absolutely worth it. Larry and Linda Jo met me outside (in the rain) to show me where to park and to show me around the lot, I couldn’t have asked for anyone more hospitable! They even checked in on me on my second day since I was not feeling well and they had noticed I hadn’t left the van - thank you both for your attention and compassion! I can’t wait to be back in the area for a visit in the future!
