Our little 5 Acre's doesn't have chickens. Doesn't have bacon. And is not a ranch. But we are located just outside of Springfield Missouri and within less than an hour from Branson and Table Rock Lake. Springfield is home to Bass Pro, O'Reilly's and... of course.. Springfield style cashew chicken. Within an approximate 15 minute drive, you can be wandering around the mac-daddy of all outdoor shops.. the original Bass Pro. While there you can also take in the Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium. Also just a few short minutes away is the only restaurant in the world that can boast of the original recipe of Springfield style cashew chicken... Leong's Asian Diner. If you're looking for a little more bright lights and entertainment, Branson is less than an hour drive where you can enjoy anything from award winning musicians, to miniature golf, to go carts to Paula Dean and Guy Fieri's restaurants. If you're a history buff, you won't want to miss Willson's Creek National Battlefield. It is quite literally next door. You can enjoy the tour via car, bicycle, horseback or walking. But if you're here, you might as well catch some beautiful Ozark Scenic Riverways while you're at it. Missouri is known for its rolling hills, lakes and rivers. Whether kayaking through a river or around a lake, you can be on the water within less than an hour from our home. From Table Rock Lake, to the James River to the Buffalo National Scenic Riverways, the waters of the Ozarks will not disappoint. Whether you're just looking for a convenient, safe and quiet place to rest for an overnight or a quiet place to retreat to after exploring area attractions, our little piece of heaven might be just what you're looking for. We are located just outside Springfield Missouri and have very easy access to I-44(Route 66) and HWY 65. Our property is quiet and peaceful with beautiful sunsets and rolling hills. Follow us on Instagram @theozarkschickenbaconranch. Suggested Local Attractions:Bass Pro Shops, The Wonders of Wildlife, Top of The Rock, Dogwood Canyon, Wilson's Creek National Battlefield, Table Rock Lake, James River, Branson, Route 66, Silver Dollar City, Fantastic Caverns, Ozark Mountains, Springfield, Branson.

Part Time RVers. Almost Empty Nesters Details: When Andy wanted to upgrade Christine's wedding band for their 20th anniversary, she told him she'd rather have their weekend's upgraded instead. So we set out on the journey to purchase our first RV so we could enjoy the ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS scenery just outside our doorsteps in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. Since 2018, not only have we enjoyed the beautiful sites of the Ozark Mountains, we've also pulled our little TT from Yellowstone to Gulf Shores to Ouray and many places in between. Full time RV'ing is still a bit allusive to us, but we take our TT out as much as possible. Sometimes our adult kids join us, sometimes they stay behind. Since we know the struggles of deciding where to stay for a quick overnight on our way to a bigger destination, when we discovered Boondockers Welcome, we knew we had to join. We have a beautiful little 5 acre patch with easy access to I-44 (Route 66) and other major highways. There are limited places for RVer's to stay near Springfield MO. We can do our part to solve that little problem. We'd love to welcome other RVers who need a stop over point and a pleasant, quiet place to rest on their journey. Home Town: Springfield Missouri. Heart of Route 66. Heart of the Ozarks. Home to Bass Pro, O'Reilly's, Kuat, Springfield style Cashew Chicken and the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We've never actually fully boondocked. We like our electricity for the A/C and lights. But if we were to boondock, first we'd have to prep our TT, then we'd head to Rocky Mountains somewhere near Buena Vista, Colorado. Then maybe head north to the Grand Tetons. Skills or Expertise to Share: We've travelled across the U.S. pulling our TT with our F150. While we can share roadtrip experience, our real expertise lies in our familiarity of the hidden gems in the Ozarks. We know the spectacular rivers, lakes and views of God's creation in Southern Missouri. We can also point you to some of the best "tourist traps" in Springfield, Branson and Table Rock Lake. What's worth the trip or the price? What should you avoid?

Host was very accommodating and provided great local recommendations for dining and exploring. We felt very comfortable and safe and really appreciated the 50 amp electric service as the weather turned warm. Easy access in a rural environment, yet close to urban conveniences. Host communicated very effectively and greeted us with warm hospitality.

Thank you so much to Andy and Christine for opening your yard up to fellow campers! We have met some amazing people with boondockers welcome and have felt so lucky! From the communication right away to the very last day there were wonderful! His directions are perfect, Follow them. we did made it in with our 38’ 5th wheel no problem. The ground where we parked was still nice and firm after full day of rain. That was great! So extremely appreciative of the water and 50 amp electric! It was full sun and quite warm. This was the perfect spot for us only 15 mins from our niece and lots to do in the area! Andy’s recommendations were great! Used our park pass to visit the National battle field which was so close! Great afternoon at the museum and taking the driving tour along with some short walks. Thank you both again so very much! We will definitely be back next time we come to the area! Happy camping!!

We were greeted by Andy and felt welcomed. He helped us get Gracie parked. With the heat We were glad for the 50 amp and water hookups. Our advice about getting there is to follow the directions given on their site. Do not follow GPS directions since it brings you in the wrong way and we had to unhook our tow to make the turn into the driveway.

we enjoyed 4 nights at Chicken Bacon Ranch. Andy is super helpful and we had no difficulty parking our 31’ 5th wheel. We will definitely stay here again if we’re in the area.
