Our little 5 Acre's doesn't have chickens. Doesn't have bacon. And is not a ranch. But we are located just outside of Springfield Missouri and within less than an hour from Branson and Table Rock Lake. Chicken Bacon Ranch is a family-owned flower farm. Springfield is home to Bass Pro, O'Reilly's and... of course.. Springfield style cashew chicken. Within an approximate 15 minute drive, you can be wandering around the mac-daddy of all outdoor shops.. the original Bass Pro. While there you can also take in the Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium. Also just a few short minutes away is the only restaurant in the world that can boast of the original recipe of Springfield style cashew chicken... Leong's Asian Diner. If you're looking for a little more bright lights and entertainment, Branson is less than an hour drive where you can enjoy anything from award winning musicians, to miniature golf, to go carts to Paula Dean and Guy Fieri's restaurants. If you're a history buff, you won't want to miss Willson's Creek National Battlefield. It is quite literally next door. You can enjoy the tour via car, bicycle, horseback or walking. But if you're here, you might as well catch some beautiful Ozark Scenic Riverways while you're at it. Missouri is known for its rolling hills, lakes and rivers. Whether kayaking through a river or around a lake, you can be on the water within less than an hour from our home. From Table Rock Lake, to the James River to the Buffalo National Scenic Riverways, the waters of the Ozarks will not disappoint. Whether you're just looking for a convenient, safe and quiet place to rest for an overnight or a quiet place to retreat to after exploring area attractions, our little piece of heaven might be just what you're looking for. We are located just outside Springfield Missouri and have very easy access to I-44(Route 66) and HWY 65. Our property is quiet and peaceful with beautiful sunsets and rolling hills. Part Time RVers. Almost Empty Nesters Details: When Andy wanted to upgrade Christine's wedding band for their 20th anniversary, she told him she'd rather have their weekend's upgraded instead. So we set out on the journey to purchase our first RV so we could enjoy the ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS scenery just outside our doorsteps in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. Since 2018, not only have we enjoyed the beautiful sites of the Ozark Mountains, we've also pulled our little TT from Yellowstone to Gulf Shores to Ouray and many places in between. Full time RV'ing is still a bit allusive to us, but we take our TT out as much as possible. Sometimes our adult kids join us, sometimes they stay behind. Since we know the struggles of deciding where to stay for a quick overnight on our way to a bigger destination, when we discovered Boondockers Welcome, we knew we had to join. We have a beautiful little 5 acre patch with easy access to I-44 (Route 66) and other major highways. There are limited places for RVer's to stay near Springfield MO. We can do our part to solve that little problem. We'd love to welcome other RVers who need a stop over point and a pleasant, quiet place to rest on their journey. Home Town: Springfield Missouri. Heart of Route 66. Heart of the Ozarks. Home to Bass Pro, O'Reilly's, Kuat, Springfield style Cashew Chicken and the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We've never actually fully boondocked. We like our electricity for the A/C and lights. But if we were to boondock, first we'd have to prep our TT, then we'd head to Rocky Mountains somewhere near Buena Vista, Colorado. Then maybe head north to the Grand Tetons. Skills or Expertise to Share: We've travelled across the U.S. pulling our TT with our F150. While we can share roadtrip experience, our real expertise lies in our familiarity of the hidden gems in the Ozarks. We know the spectacular rivers, lakes and views of God's creation in Southern Missouri. We can also point you to some of the best "tourist traps" in Springfield, Branson and Table Rock Lake. What's worth the trip or the price? What should you avoid?

Besides the tornado warnings and sirens, we had a great stay!! Our hosts invited us in their home when things looked scary weather-wise but luckily we ended up with only strong winds and a downpour! Lovely property, beautiful horses and 3 dogs that like to bark at the action around them but they were quiet in the night. Great communication and good direction instructions.

The chicken bacon ranch was quiet yet super close to the parts of South Springfield that we needed to go to. Having 50 amp was a nice bonus. Was the quietest sleep we’d had in a week, definitely will stay there again. Easy to get into and out of and as they note in the instructions, you definitely want to approach from the east.
