We picked this spot to stay for two nights to see the total eclipse. The hosts were very welcoming and invited us in for coffee in the morning. They watched the eclipse with us and in spite of worrying clouds we were able to see totality for a full 4 minutes. The highway is very busy and if you are bothered by traffic noise you might want to skip this spot but we slept well in spite of the cars. Hail was predicted for our second night here and the host went out of his way to rig up a blanket to cover our windshield through the stormy night. These are really caring and wonderful people. I highly recommend this site.

The hosts were very courteous, showing us exactly where to park and pointing out the water and electric hookups. They also told us about things to do in the area and offered their backyard (1/2 acre) for our dog to run or play. The location was easy to find and though the nearby road was somewhat busy for a relatively rural area, we slept fine.

Charles and Beverly hosted us one night each, to and from Colorado. They allowed us to top off outmr water tank and allowed us to connect power via household outlet which allowed for normal winter operation. Charles and Beverly treated us like family and even gave us a christian blessing before our next leg of our trip. There driveway is perfect to pull in and out of. Just dont pass it up like I did the first time.
