Very nice host with a cool view of a pond. Entrance is a little tight for my 38' travel trailer (but totally doable).

Oh my. What a pit this place is once you find it. No communication with host was ever returned. Garmin and Google don’t agree on where this place is. It is mostly gravel road once leaving the main road to get to this pit. It was so bad we did not even think about staying. Very narrow gravel road, very narrow driveway with ditch on both sides. No way I was going to try and get my 38’ travel trailer back around the garage to the “campsites”. Too late to find another campground so we drove another 5 hours to get back on schedule. This has caused us to never use Boondockers again. Need to have some truth in advertising on this place.

Buckle in, it's a long and glowing review. We will not lie, we had trouble getting into the driveway. BUT we have a 30 ft travel trailer and the (very nicely paved) access road is county width. So that difficulty is entirely my problem and not theirs, but it is worth mentioning for people with larger rigs. Dave and Amanda immediately greeted and patiently helped us get the trailer backed up and primed for a second attempt. There were zero issues after that, they know how to navigate larger vehicles and know their land precisely. Top marks on the encouragement, patience and clarity they had when helping us get situated. After the parking, we got to set up and check out the campground. They already had a small stack of firewood and a nicely cleaned up fire pit right by our very spacious and well maintained site next to a crop field. They got 30amp hookups for RV, which are easily accessible and pretty strong WiFi (streaming is a little slow, but if you have ever used satellite internet that's just the way of it). We had just finished a pretty arduous couple of travel days with a lot going wrong, and were in desperate need of a proper rest day. So, even though we'd only booked one night, they graciously allowed us to stay two peaceful and quiet nights without a second thought. Amanda brought us flowers and some delicious blackberries that grow on their property. We got to learn about the property and hear it's history. Dave's family has owned the land for generations and through many iterations of use. He and Amanda are actively cleaning up a section that used to be a small landfill and have found so many interesting artifacts from history that they almost have enough for a small museum! A collection of glass bottles dating back probably a hundred years are on display in the office if anyone is interested. You might have read a review stating that it was full of "junk" and "not in a nice way". That is entirely someone's personal opinion, and shouldn't be used to judge the site's safety and functionally. We found it fascinating and beautiful, with just a hint of Mad Max. The small lake is healthy and full of a variety of fish, the grass is green and cared for. The people who live here love the land and care for it well. This campground has so much potential and we hope it flourishes for Amanda and Dave. Saving it to our favourites.

Access was bit tricky for our rig. Went to the wrong house across the street due to lack of signage. Grounds are in disrepair and need to be cleaned up alot! Lots of junk to see, not good junk.... Thanks for the stay...

the hosts were very thoughtful and accommodating. they rearranged their vehicles to make sure our big rig would have a spot easy to get into. the pond gives a peaceful setting. rain does cause some soft spots and puddles, which can't be controlled, so they made sure we wouldn't get stuck or sink in.
