Located on old tobacco farmland close to the NC / SC line about 35 miles inland from the coastal beaches. Near Tabor City NC. We live close enough for a good day trip to Myrtle Beach SC, the more quaint NC beaches like Sunset, Ocean Isle, and Holden Beach. Lake Wacammaw is about 45 min and Wilmington 1 1/4 hours away. We can offer water and 20 amp / 120 volts of electricity at this time. Unlimited length on grass or gravel but long tree lined driveway is kept trimmed at 12’ height. Or can park in large open areas on solid grass covered ground without using driveway access.

Age:

We were high school sweethearts and have been married now for 36 years. We both still work full time but are hoping to be able to slow down soon in the future. Camping has always been our favorite family experience when our son and only child was still with us. But tragically we lost him to a motorcycle accident at age 25. But we still have a part of him with us in his son who was born one month after he passed. He is now living with us. Even though we are quite a bit older now, we don’t want him to miss the joy of camping and meeting the greatest group of people in general that I know of. Making good memories is what it is all about. Because one day, memories is all we will have left.

I came here with the intention of taking a drive to Myrtle Beach, but as soon as I drove in, I knew I didn't want to leave, and the hosts sealed the deal lol very pleasant family. It's the most serene & peaceful stay I've had. Power & water provided. I didn’t venture out so I can’t spreak on what to do in the area. Tmobile cignal was great, easy to get to & drive into. Plenty of open space for dogs to run freely, there’s a firepit at the campsite & seating area. There’s a trail behind the house to explore. Enjoy your stay!

Very gracious host. Nice spot next to RV/boat storage shed with 30 amp service. Made a fire for us in the fire pit. Tim gave me an ATV tour of the property and its history.

beautiful property with easy access, spacious level parking area, fire ring for chilly nights and power if needed. Open fields in almost every direction. Walking trails through wooded area on property. Super friendly and helpful host. Close enough to beaches, South Carolina border and grocery store if needed. Quiet area for restful nights. We enjoyed our stay here in our 33ft Class C, towing and highly recommend Close Enough to anyone looking for a stopping point or a several night stay near Wellington NC or Little River SC.

We can not say enough about this beautiful family. Tim, Phylis and Jake immediately made us feel so welcomed. The property itself is beautiful and the feeling being there was even better. Tim called us early in the day to let us know he was on the road and might not be there when we arrived (but he was) so wanted to make sure we’d have everything we need. This was southern hospitality at it’s best! Thank you again so much for your kindness! Ken & Theresa
