I enjoyed my stay at Peter and Tricia's. I had a great hike at Cranes Beach and fried scallops at Choate Bridge Pub, both on their recommendation. A lovely area that I hope to visit again!

Peter and his wife were wonderful hosts! they have a beautiful home in a quaint neighborhood. They have a nice area for a small camper like our Sprinter Van. Their home is on an island in the center of a wildlife meadow next to many inlets from the ocean. There are beautiful private beaches just down the road from their home. You can see small boats anchored in the tributaries from their back yard. They also have a Sprinter Van and they really understand the meaning of “boondocking”! Just down the road is the “antique” town of Ipswich! Peter sent us to the village restaurant called Choate Bridge where we had wonderful fried clams! You need to give them some notice if you want to visit them in your small RV because it is just great!

I spent two nights hosted by these hosts, the most welcoming hosts I could have imagined. He kept in touch with me as I made my way there from Maine, which was very helpful. Their home is in a lovely quiet neighborhood within a few miles of downtown Ipswich. The parking spot is level and easy to get into and out of with my 20 foot Roadtrek. My little dog and I enjoyed meeting the neighbors and their dogs; we visited Crane’s Beach a few miles away where there is an off-leash area this time of year, and we had a great time walking around the town with all its lovely historic homes. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area. So glad Harvest Hosts now includes Boondockers Welcome.

This is a great spot for a layover. Safe Harbor parking for a van on gravel with shade. Super friendly host with local tips on places of interest. Close to town but in a really quiet area.
