Mountain home in Ranch of the Rockies, in between Hartsel, CO and Buena Vista or Fairplay. We have area available on our driveway that can accommodate an RV. The driveway is about 200 ft long and about 10 feet wide so is better suited for small motorhome, unless you are good at backing. Within walking distance to National Forest. A dog will be considered as long as they stay with you, and you pick up their potty. Generator use ok if limited and not before 9 am or after 5 pm. Snow and rain can make it tricky so check weather conditions. Please look at Google earth to see location first.

We had a great 2 night stay at High Altitude —- 9400” per my phone app. We also enjoyed many easy conversations and a some show and tell as we each gave tours of our latest in RV travel. Finally and most importantly, the altitude was not an issue as Suzan provided a tip beyond drinking lots of water = add a couple of antacids through out the day. And it worked like a charm as we had fun playing PickleBall, hiking along the Arkansa with lunch at the House Rock Kitchen (locally sustained good food - plug intended) in Buena Vista. We’ll get to Salida and the hot springs next time around.

This was my first stay with a Boondockers Welcome host and it was a great experience! The cooler temperature at the high-altitude ranch was very pleasant. Verizon signal was really good, 4-bar LTE. The host was very helpful, thank you!

We enjoyed a peaceful stay with a very gracious host. Your spot is right next a young aspen grove. We’ll be back!
