You will be parking on a gravel driveway at the west end of our property. We are a mile outside of town, on a 1.3 acre lot, with a creek and many large, old trees. Quiet time after 9 PM, no generators running then, and outside music speakers off, too. This is a lovely area and we aim to provide you with a base so that you can explore the wonderful Columbia River Gorge. We have water there, and 15 amp electrical hook up, if you are in need of a battery charge up. We are practicing physical/social distancing and wearing masks, and ask that you do, also.. Suggested Local Attractions: The Columbia River Gorge has more waterfalls than anywhere else in the US. There are many, many hiking trails available, to see the waterfalls - from easy strolls to some that you would need technical climbing equipment. You will need your own transportation around the area - this is a rural area. We are in Skamania County, the only county I know of that has a statute prohibiting the hunting or harassment of Big Foot. Downtown Stevenson has a number of eating out choices and some nice shopping. We live in the wind-sailing and kiteboarding capital of the US, as I understand. There is a dump station at the county fairgrounds, for a small fee. Come and see for yourself!

New to Boondocking, old in years, young at heart Details: Dennis and I are lucky to live in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, the capital of kiteboarding and windsurfing. We just retired, so availability will be sporadic, as we want to travel a fair amount. Not much availability during the summer, but all seasons are amazing up here. We like to meet new people and learn about diverse cultures and people. We have travelled overseas extensively but are now concentrating on traveling in North America. We are nonsmokers and still masking up, after having COVID ourselves. Home Town: Stevenson, WA Favorite Boondocking Locations: None, yet. Skills or Expertise to Share: We have just purchased our second travel trailer and are learning a lot, ourselves. Dennis has a good understanding of solar electrical systems.

Host communication was great, even thought they were out of town. Helped us to have a safe place to boondock while visiting the gorge.

Flynn and I so enjoyed this quiet, safe place to stay. Knowledgable hosts shared some great tools for this lifestyle too. Many thanks for your kindness!

We had a great day exploring the gorge and hiking. This was a very convenient base for two nights. Despite traveling themselves, Kate allowed us to stay on their property. The driveway fit our 21 foot trailer and Jeep. There was enough space for our dog to be staked out for brief periods. We kept pretty quiet and mostly inside our trailer out of respect for the neighborhood. One guy road by on his bike and said, “welcome to the neighborhood.” We were grateful for a safe, quiet place to rest. Thank you!
