EDIT: When you request a stay, please include if you need 30 amp or 50 amp hookup and water. We are getting lots of requests and it helps us determine if we can host you. (Thanks) We are about 5 miles from exit 4 on Interstate 10. Just inside Alabama from Mississippi. We are close enough to Mobile, Al to enjoy all the amenities there and close enough to the Mississippi coast to visit their beaches and casinos. Pensacola, Fla is a short 1-hour drive away also. Dauphin Island is a beautiful day trip also. Remember when you contact us about dates available, please let us know if you will need electric, 30 or 50 amp, and if you will require water. This will help me determine if I can accommodate you if we have other Boondockers at the same time. We have had 8 guests at the same time in the past. We have 1, 30 amp plug and 4, 50 amp plugs, along with about 3 acres for true boondocking with generator or solar. That will save a lot of back and forth with our messages also. Please call (numbers listed below) us when you are about an hour away so we will be sure to be home to meet you and guide you into your space and hookups. If you do not require hookups, then we will show you the area to park in. Judi 251-454-6585. Tom 251-490-8288. Suggested Local Attractions: Just google Mobile, Al., Mississippi Gulf coast, or the Florida panhandle to find many, many, attractions that I am sure you will enjoy!

Location

Access Road Conditions: We live on a paved road. Our driveway is gravel. We actually have 2 driveways to our 5 acres, so entry and exit is never a problem. There are no hills, we are flat all the way. We have a standard size driveway so there should be no issues with getting onto our property. If you are extra long, just be sure to swing wide as you pull in. We drive our Silverado pulling our 29ft camper in and out very easily. Plenty of room to turn around without backing up or reversing. Although most of our sites that offer electric and water are back in spaces. We have some beautiful trees, but also plenty of room to maneuver away from them. We have one 50 amp hook up by our house that we hook up to a day or so before we go camping so I can load with the air on! It would be available to guests. We also have one 30 amp and three 50amp now available with some upgrades we are working on. We have water hook up at all. No dump sites but we are not far from dump sites on Interstate 10. There is also a campground in Grand Bay near the interstate exit 4 that has a dump site for $10. Creekside Campground. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We have wide open spaces and shaded areas. Parking is not a problem. We own and live on 5 acres. So, we have plenty of room for any size rig set up.

Happily retired and enjoying our blessed life together Details: EDIT: We are no longer riding our Harley. Tom had a wreck on it October 10, 2022. He had multiple serious injuries and we were in 3 different hospitals in Alabama and Florida for 73 days. He is still recovering, and this recovery will possibly take at least another year to be complete. But we are claiming a full recovery and we have a multitude of people praying for the same thing. We decided to keep hosting BW & HH when we returned home because it gives us such joy to meet other campers and adventurous like-minded people. It will be a while before we get back out with our camper, but it will happen! We also are not setting up at Antique shows anymore but have a lot of items still available. Tell us what you're looking for.....we may have it! ORIGINAL POST: We are retired and enjoy camping, riding our Harley Trike, our large family and buying and selling antiques. We go to 8 - 10 antique shows a year where sometimes we buy and sometimes we sell. We have been married since Christmas Eve 2010. We went to school together and used to hold hands in the hall between classes. Then of course we went our separate ways. We reconnected at the 40th class reunion and 6 months later we got married and have never been happier! Together we have 7 grown children, he has 2 and I have 5. He has 2 grands and I have 13 grands along with 14 great grands. Yes, holidays are very eventful around here. We love to travel and are always ready for our next adventure. We like to play board games, Fast Track is our favorite, and welcome game time with boondockers. we also enjoy Uno Flip. If you haven't played this card game, you are missing out! We have 5 acres and plenty of room for Boondockers! We also have water and electric connections for one 30 amp and five 50 amp. We are so excited about hosting! We have 1 little Shi-Poo named Buddy and we don't mind campers with well-behaved pets. We must ask all pets be kept secure on a leash as we have recently had an issue with a neighbors pet chicken and a boondocking dog. Buddy was re-homed to us in May 2023, so he is still getting accustomed to having company here on "his" property. Sometimes he is very friendly and sometimes it takes a minute for him to warm up to other people and pets. We try our best to keep him on his best behavior tho. Please be sure to let us know your estimated time of arrival on your arrival day when you know it. Also, call when you get to Potter Tract Rd., as you are just 2 miles from us then and we will meet you at our driveway and guide you into your space. We have 2 driveways on our property and our Boondocker guests will use the 2nd driveway. So, when you have driven 2 miles on Potter Tract Rd. and you see a small white picket fence on the right, go to the next driveway on the right and turn there. Big rigs will need to swing far to the left when pulling in and you can stay to the left on the grass until you are safely and completely into the property. It's just grass, so no big deal if you drive on it. We do! Also, please call or text when you are about an hour away. So, if we are not home, we can get there before you and guide you in. Our address is 12012 Potter Tract Rd., Grand Bay, Al. Judi 251-454-6585 or Tommy 251-490-8288. These are cell phones so if we don't answer it's because the signal here was weak. Please try calling both numbers before you send a text, although a text will usually go through. As mentioned, cell and internet service are weak and spotty out here. We are out in the country so that's the price we pay for peace and quiet. You are welcome to use my internet while here, but you will probably have to sit on my front porch swing to get service. or if we are home, you can come and visit in our sunroom while using the internet. I'll be happy to give the PIN to you upon arrival. I would like to mention, if you require an electric hook up or water, we request a donation of $15 per day. This is an approved amount by BW and HH. It simply covers the cost of utilities used while you are boondocking. And please pay this when you arrive. Lately we have had a few people leave when we are not home and not pay for the use of utilities. Also, if you require hook ups, please add that to your stay request. Many times, we have multiple Boondockers at the same time. Many are solar or generator users and we have plenty of room for them as well. But I need to be able to schedule our plug ins accordingly. Thank you. AGAIN: Please let us know in your original request if you need electric and water during your stay with us. And be sure to give us your eta as soon as you can.....we are currently going to lots of doctor and therapy appointments. Judi 251-454-6585. Tom 251-490-8288. Home Town: We live in Grand Bay, Alabama. If you have ever driven on Interstate 10 through Alabama, we are exit 4. You were within 5 miles of our house. We are a small town, and we offer 1 grocery store, Greers, 3 Dollar stores, plenty of gas stations, lots of churches and some of the best fresh vegetables and fruits around. Especially watermelons in the summertime! We live on the property that my parents bought when I was a baby. We are sort of out in the country, but we do have neighbors, they are all good and I know them all! We have some pecan trees, plums, pear trees, satsuma, lemon, blood orange, kumquat, blackberry, blueberry, figs and both Japanese and Fuyu Persimmons. We also have a coin operated washer and dryer on the property that guests are welcome to use while here with us. The washer is only $1.50 and the dryer is $1.00. Needless to say, we love to travel, but we love to come home. We are members of The Cowboy Baptist Church locally, (11835 Argyle Rd., Irvington, Al. and we will always welcome boondockers to attend services with us on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. Dinner at 5pm on Wednesday evenings at church and breakfast at 9:30am on Sunday mornings. Free to anyone. And it is always delicious with southern style butter grits, cheese grits and biscuits on Sunday mornings. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We have boondocked at New Harmony in Florida. It was very pleasant and a really good site. They had bath and shower facilities available as well as an honor system washer and dryer. We also look forward to meeting seasoned Boondockers! Skills or Expertise to Share: My husband is a retired Barber, and I am a retired alterations seamstress. We still have a few customers that we just couldn't give up. So, he can still do haircuts, for a fee, if needed while you are here. He loves working on junk and repairing antiques. We also put our heads together and build many one-of-a-kind items that we sell.
