Welcome to Constellation Farmstead. We are a multi-faceted agritourism destination combining farming, homesteading and leisure. We are located in a quaint and quiet area of the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We currently have camping space available both for tents and dry camping with an RV. So far for animals we have 3 pigs, 25 chickens, a handful of ducks and the softest rabbits you will ever meet. Our hiking trails are open, and markers are being added. You are welcome to hike through our property on any maintained trails. In the years to come, our beautiful barn will become a venue for weddings as well as a suite and rentable rooms where you can stay. We’ll also be continuing to grow our family farm, orchard and of course our growing array of animals for you to visit. For hookups we are happy with a trade of assistance around our farm instead of cash. Please let us know when booking which hookups you may need -thanks! Generators are only allowed on a case by case basis and not allowed in dark hours unless previously discussed because of how sound carries, and we pride ourselves on the quiet you will experience here. Suggested Local Attractions:Copper county, and The Keweenaw Area have many attractions available. The Pelkie one room school house is open on Sundays and holidays. Hanak Homestead is open daily. We also have brochures available for many other local options and are happy to share stories of what we love.

Location

Access Road Conditions: All of our RV spots have fit up to 40” rigs. If you’re rig is longer we will do our best to host you in our largest spot that is on gravel in front of our barn. We are located on a paved road, we have a gravel driveway that is easier to access from the north with longer rigs. You can drive straight down and we have two options for backing up and turning around for leaving. Please let us know your ETA by the day of your arrival so we can meet you and get you settled in to your space. When planning your eta please remember we are in eastern time zone. You can now easily find us on google maps by searching "Constellation Farmstead" as our address usually doesn't bring you to our location. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We have plenty of space within sight of your RV for you to park your tow vehicle.

Thought we had reviewed previously- we stayed back in August and had a great time. We couldn’t have asked for nicer hosts and enjoyed numerous great conversations with both of them. Their nephews came to visit while we were there and we were invited for family s’mores around the campfire. We enjoyed seeing the workings of the farm and hearing about the future plans. We hope to return next fall to reconnect and see the changes.

This is an incredible property that's hey day was many moons ago and the new owners, AJ and Maddie and their two kids, are bringing it back to life in a very resourceful manner by utilizing a lot of the "stuff" that they inherited -check out the truck bed caps now being used a chicken coops! Maddie and the kids were away for the 2 nights we were there, so AJ was holding down the farm! In addition to the farm, AJ has developed an extensive Disk Golf course on the property, and has plans to offer a couple of AirBnB style lodgings, and to create a wedding venue in the barn. He has those visionary eyes that see past the obstacles :-) We enjoyed picking and eating some of the apples, I think he said they have over 400 trees, visiting with some wonderful fellow campers, and Jim really enjoyed sitting out back at the bonfire and talking with AJ about heritage breed livestock. We look forward to returning in a couple of years to see how the vision is materializing!

Wonderful host, was a last minute booking and I got in late but very accomodating. Rustic farm with a morning wake up call from the rooster.

The camp setting is rural with lots of variety of farm animals around. The nights were really quiet and the star gazing was really good. We had hoped (like many) to see the Northern Lights but no such luck this time. The host was accommodating and hooked us up with a tank of fresh water and WiFi. They have plans to expand the facility which will make it even nicer to visit in the future. For reference, verizon did work but was a bit weak. We thank the hosts for spot they share with us appreciative guests!

A unique experience staying on a working farm. AJ is an awesome host. It was fun to tour the grounds, see the animals, and pitch in with some simple chores. Excellent communication and flexibility. I look forward to staying at CF the next time I am in the area. A+
