This would be a nice place to park for a few nights to explore the Catskills or if you are passing by on Route 17 and need a place for the night as you travel through. It is in the field next to my house. There is a house across the road. There is also a summer home development behind the property separated by a fence and trees. Sometime in the summer you will hear the happy sounds of children playing outside until about 11:00. It is located about 7 miles out of the village of Monticello. There is a stone fire ring that you are welcome to use responsibly. I can provide you with a bucket of water or 2 to put a fire out when you are done. Suggested Local Attractions:We are located less than 15 miles from Bethel Woods Center for the Arts where you could visit the museum or attend a concert. World Resorts Casino and the Kartrite Water Park are about 10 miles away. You can canoe or kayak about 10 miles away on a reservoir and possibly see a beautiful eagle. About an hour away you can hike Giant Ledge, Slide Mountain or visit Minnewaska State Park .

I hope you will be friendly and have a good time enjoying the area. Please be quiet after 9:00 on weekdays and 11:00 on weekends to respect my neighbors. Dogs are welcome and it is up to you if they can be off leash. I have 2 dogs that I supervise off leash. However the property is close to the road and I don't want any pets to run out there and get hurt. However, mine would love to run and play with your dog!
Location
Access Road Conditions: This is a field on the side of a country road. There is a varying grade from the road to the parking spot. Enter carefully from the more gradual end and exit the steeper end. I tried to capture it in the pictures, but it doesn't show up well. The road can be busy in the summer months, but is mostly calm to quiet in non summer months. If it has been rainy before you arrive, you may find the field soft and large rigs will get stuck. I can let you know the conditions a few days before you would like to camp. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: There is plenty of room to park your vehicle.

Skills or Expertise to Share: None I can think of other than I can tutor math if you need it!

Sue was a very friendly and welcoming host. First we wanted to stay at Walmart, but it wasn`t allowed, so ist was really late and dark, when I asked, if we could come and stay for a night. She was waiting on the street with a light, behause it wasn`t easy to get on the meadow with our german trailer, wich ist very low to the ground on the back. After visiting Bethel next day, she told us, that we could stay longer, we used her Wifi and an other family was arriving and we had a great campfire on the meadow with free firewood. Thanks a lot for hosting us! We would love to come back next year :-)

We stayed one night after a show at Bethel Woods. Sue could not have been nicer or more accommodating. She even offered water, but we didn’t need. Lots of privacy, spot has a fire pit and it’s huge! A bit unlevel but not ridiculous. Right off the road — we pulled in a few yards away where there was some pavement to avoid the drop off. Quiet night, not many cars on the road and slept well. Great place and host!

Sue was a great hostess. We had a couple of very nice visits in the field. Her country field is a beautiful place to stay, peaceful and plenty of room. The deer & the bunnies sure love it there too! Hope to see you down the road.
