We have a total of 30 acres; 10 up front on the creek with varying terrain plus 20 acres of woods adjacent (follows the creek NorthWest). Upper level has one available 50amp hook up but we are routing all boondockers to the lower RV field due to barn renovation. The RV field has a well laid gravel driveway with electricity and water hookups at six sites. The sewage may be awhile yet. Currently the WiFi is spotty and reception depends on what kind of phone and cell service you have. If you have an iPhone and your provider is Verizon you’ll have service. There are walking trails aplenty whether in the woods, along the creek or in the lower fields. We have a pond that is rumored to have fish but in our limited exploration of the pond we have yet to determine the truth or fiction of the fish. If you've a mind to do so, go for it. If you go exploring (and you are quite welcome to do so) please be safe!!! DO NOT attempt to cross the wooden walkway bridge that connects the lower fields! It is in serious need of repair. Keep in mind that you are in the country... there are ticks and snakes and wild animals. We do our best to manage the critters but you are responsible for your own well being and safety. This is a beautiful place and we are happy to share it with you. Suggested Local Attractions: White river and War Eagle creek are great sources for fishing, boating etc. War Eagle Mill and Eureka Springs are fun destinations for tourists and locals. Ozark National Forest provides great outdoor recreation experiences of all kinds. Only 30+ minutes to Fayetteville, Rogers etc. for all your city desires. For local fun, downtown Huntsville hosts a Farmers Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays from April thru October.

House Rules
Please don’t smoke. Vaping is ok. Children’s laughter is a bonus. Prefer generators are not run during quiet hours (11pm - 6am) but exceptions are definitely made for extreme weather. Let us know if you need something... we happily share morning coffee and tea! We have two farm dogs that roam freely during the day. They are friendly and we are working on training them not to cross into the RV field but that’s a work in progress. Sadly, our old pup has become less tolerant toward other dogs... too many attacks, especially from smaller dogs. Fortunately she never ventures far from the house. So, if you are in the lower fields or back twenty (woods) feel free to let your dog off leash. But if you are walking around the upper areas with your dog, please leash them AND communicate ahead of time so we can monitor/manage the encounters. She has never hurt another dog but she may pin them to the ground (just her defensive measure). Also, the chickens/guinea fowl may be out. If you have children please monitor that they do not try to catch the chicks or poke them with a stick. I've been surprised at how many consider it.
Location
Access Road Conditions: The new RV field is located at 10240 Highway 74 and that driveway is approximately 300ft east of ours. It is easier to make a left turn into the RV field so heading East toward Huntsville will make entering the field easier for you. While we normally prefer that you come up to the house to check in, for now, due to the construction and congestion up top, we ask that you meet us in the RV field. Also, until the sewer lines are laid (or other septic options are made available) we suggest that you make a pit stop at Withrow Springs RV park and dump there if necessary. There’s no fee but they do suggest donations. Apologies for the inconvenience. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Parking for tow vehicles is with your RV. Plenty of space for both to park side by side or end to end.

Happy in the Ozarks Details: Not quite retired but moving in that direction and wanted a new place to call home. We recently were on the road full-time (almost 2 years) looking for it. Found it! Very happy here with our woods and year round creek. Family focused and trying to get everyone moving to Arkansas... it’s working! Our chickens keep us entertained in between RV adventures and family visits. Home Town: Southern California is where we were both born and had lived all of our adult lives. We have had a few different addresses is our 35+ years of marriage but this current one trumps them all. We went on an adventure to relocate and found our new home in Huntsville AR. Favorite Boondocking Locations: DavenSteph in Oklahoma - best ever! One of our first and still favorite 💗 To be fair we have never been hosted by anyone in the BoondockersWelcome family that wasn’t wonderful. Skills or Expertise to Share: Love to grow things. We are both creative… just in different ways. Helping others with interpersonal relationship and communication skills is something we have been blessed to share with others for many years. We also have considerable experience with addiction recovery and intervention. Service provider at the OC jail for 15 years. Ordained ministers since 1992.

This property has it's own RV "lot", which is a section of their property away from everything else. It is set up for several RVs, with both water and electric hookups! The host was very sweet and accommodating! She met us at the driveway, which was much appreciated since the GPS didn't tell us which side of the road it would be on. Easy in and out, level, and close to town. It was a nice mix of knowing we could reach out to her for anything, but not feeling obligated to socialize. We explored Eureka Springs while there and this is a must!! Thanks so much!

I highly recommend this BW Host! Just arrived today (October 28, 2022). Host met us amenity and he made it clear that we were to let him know if there is anything that we need. 6 grass camp sites that have water and electrical pedestals, “Big Rig Friendly”, level too. There’s a creek nest to camping area. Take it easy turning into the driveway, make sure you swing wide, there’s a slight down slope, doable in our 40’ 5th wheel, once on site there’s plenty of room to maneuver. We’ll be exploring the area then submit another reference upon completing your stay.

Really nice place, easy access. Nice people that live close by the little girl, Lily was entertaining, and good conversation from her family, and the chocolate chip cookie was delicious! Lot’s to do and see. Definitely would stay again when in the area.

Country Life was an easy rest stop on the road. There was plenty of room for us and several other rigs, and they had electric and water hook-ups. The access was right off the highway and the gravel driveway made maneuvering around simple.

Great place to stay not to far from Huntsville. They have water now there, so water and electric for a great price. Farmers Market in Huntsville, on Tuesday and Saturday.
