Retired Military. I build homes for Veterans in wheelchairs with the VA. Details: Older quiet couple who travels when we can. We have been RVing for a few years and am waiting to retire a second and final time so we can travel more. We have an extensive bucket list and work diligently checking off items. We sometimes travel with 2 older Yorkies, but they are always on a leash and cleaned up after. Home Town: Walnut Cove, NC Favorite Boondocking Locations: Bourbon trail KY, Walmart, Cracker Barrel, and any other quirky location I can find when I can get on the road. Skills or Expertise to Share: Jack of all, but master of none. Handy with a wrench and have friends who are VERY handy with everything needed to keep an RV on the road. I am also a budding chef so if you show up on the right night you may get a great meal.

Our pipes had frozen in single digit temperatures, so we then stayed one night in the tin roof barn to get out of the cold temps. We had stayed here previously and even back then it was nice staying in his barn to get out of the weather. Very gracious and friendly hosts. go out of your way to stay here.

I only stayed for one night, but this location is great and Coop is a wonderful host. The house is easy to find on GPS and is away from traffic, so it was very quiet at night. Coop let me run the dog around in the fenced in yard, which she sorely needed after a long drive. I would definitely stay again!
