host Profile

Hosted By pecooper

Age:

55-65

Retired Military. I build homes for Veterans in wheelchairs with the VA. Details: Older quiet couple who travels when we can. We have been RVing for a few years and am waiting to retire a second and final time so we can travel more. We have an extensive bucket list and work diligently checking off items. We sometimes travel with 2 older Yorkies, but they are always on a leash and cleaned up after. Home Town: Walnut Cove, NC Favorite Boondocking Locations: Bourbon trail KY, Walmart, Cracker Barrel, and any other quirky location I can find when I can get on the road. Skills or Expertise to Share: Jack of all, but master of none. Handy with a wrench and have friends who are VERY handy with everything needed to keep an RV on the road. I am also a budding chef so if you show up on the right night you may get a great meal.

We stayed two nights here and couldn't have been happier. Very nice hosts who happily share a special place. Will definitely stay here again.

This was our first BW stay many years ago when we first started RVing. These people took us in when we needed it most. We were escaping a hurricane and going to a 9/11 memorial so we needed a place to park. To this day it was the best BW we ever had. These are real kind people. Thanks again.

Phil & Anne were very gracious hosts. Great communication from Phil even before we got there! Large area to turn around & a very level location. Power & water upon request! We had a chance to socialize with the two of them & they are a lovely couple. Phil suggested rides in the area. Definitely would revisit if the opportunity arose!
