Both of us are very retired Details: Please get your covid vaccinations... One of the enjoyable parts of hosting people is the social interaction... that way we can socialize by the campfire, have a beverage with you, and maybe invite you for dessert on our back porch... Unless you 'get shot', we will keep our distance... We are retired and live in NE Oregon. Bob is a former search manager for Union County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Retired Navy in 1984. Betsy is a double lung transplant recipient. UW Apr 2012 and a Retired Administrative Specialist We are non smokers and prefer to keep that association... Medical issue. If you need to smoke, please keep it at your rv and no butts on the ground. We often beverage with wine and / or good beer... Bob is a rugby fan. We do not follow American Sports such as football, soccer, basketball, baseball , tennis, etc. American sports is a topic we avoid. Rugby is here to give football players a role model. We try to avoid politics and religion in discussions with guest. Home Town: Cove, Oregon, a quiet town with no stop lights. One store/ gas station/ laundry/ a great Tavern / Steak house. / post office, hair salon, and a 6 door fire station with medic unit. We are in the NE part of the state and 16 miles east of La Grande. We are originally from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Gas and Diesel are usually 2-3 cents cheaper in Cove. 1897 farm house... remodeled a hundred times... Shop, and separate pole barn Favorite Boondocking Locations: Any place out of the big cities and off the interstate's. Skills or Expertise to Share: Small shop available, but our truck is inside it when not in winter use.. Basic to intermediate tools... RV lives in the barn when not in use. Bob is just enough of a mechanic to fix some stuff. Betsy is an amazing cook and has a large sewing room. We built the shop and barn on our own, and did most of the 1897 house remodel.

Bob, Betty and pup Bernadette were lovely and welcoming. Bob was more than willing to help this newbie with setting up and helped explain some things that were confusing. Just fabulous people!

This was our most memorable stay on a two month trip. We visited on our way to Montana, then planned our trip to visit again. The views, the amenities and the wonderful hots, Bob and Betsy. Leaving was hard, felt like saying goodby to family. May plan our next trip just visit them.
