We live on 13 acres outside the town of Floyd, just a few miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's very quiet out here. A lovely place to sit and enjoy nature. The views from the property are beautiful and the pastures that surround us are a wonderful place to take a stroll. There is a dump station at Chantilly farms camp ground, about 5 miles from us. The WiFi is accessible near the house but very spotty further away. Cell carriers in the area are Verizon and AT&T Suggested Local Attractions:Floyd is famous for Friday Night Jamboree at the country store. A great place to hear blue grass music. We are right off the crooked road (for music enthusiasts). We are right off the B.R. Parkway and about 40 minutes from Virginia Tech. Go Hokies! Great hiking and site seeing, bird watching and history out here. The Spikenard bee sanctuary is just a few miles away and Floyd has a great Saturday market as well as wonderful shops owned by local artists.

Location
Access Road Conditions: The total size of your rig, tow vehicle, trailer and towed vehicle should not exceed 30ish feet. Not just the trailer. The turn into driveway is tight as well as a couple of tight turns coming up. We would love to host you, just don’t want ya getting stuck. We live off a half mile rocky bumpy driveway. We own a 17 ft single axle Lance trailer that gets up and down fine but please be aware that the road is bumpy. There are two cattle gates that you need to open and close each time you come and go as well, but the view and peace and quiet are well worth the bumps. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: There is plenty of space to park a tow vehicle next to or around your trailer

There are a couple cattle gates to open & shut, a windy & narrow gravel hill to climb through farm land, to a private parking spot next to a row of evergreens. Not for long trailers, or something with but for my short Class C built on a van it was fine. The hosts are very kind. They met me at the road to guide me in, and warned me about a high wind advisory the next morning when I was leaving. My drive to & from their place was very picturesque- not too far from the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was an idyllic stopover for me, despite a heavy rainstorm while I was there.

Wonderful place to stay in the rolling hills of Virginia. Our hosts were waiting for us when we got there and assisted us in getting situated in a good spot. They had suggestions of things for us to do in the area and suggested we visit the Country Store in Floyd for their weekly Bluegrass Jamboree. We loved that and never would have discovered that on our own. We highly recommend Cow Hill Farm for your next adventure!

These folks are highly recommended. We were provided accurate detailed information concerning directions for arrival . Communication on our travel day via phone was flawless. Upon arrival we were greeted and directed to an outstanding parking spot. We also had great conversations getting acquainted with each other.

The hosts were wonderful! They have a beautiful property that is secluded, quiet, and safe. The drive up to the property is bumpy as the host stated but we had little problem navigating it. I highly recommend a stop here.
