We live on 13 acres outside the town of Floyd, just a few miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's very quiet out here. A lovely place to sit and enjoy nature. Please take note that our driveway is bumpy and your rig may get scratched! The views from the property are beautiful and the pastures that surround us are a wonderful place to take a stroll. There is a dump station at Chantilly farms camp ground, about 5 miles from us. The WiFi is accessible near the house but very spotty further away. Cell carriers in the area are Verizon and AT&T Suggested Local Attractions:Floyd is famous for Friday Night Jamboree at the country store. A great place to hear blue grass music. We are right off the crooked road (for music enthusiasts). We are right off the B.R. Parkway and about 40 minutes from Virginia Tech. Go Hokies! Great hiking and site seeing, bird watching and history out here. The Spikenard bee sanctuary is just a few miles away and Floyd has a great Saturday market as well as wonderful shops owned by local artists.

House Rules

Pets are welcome, but best to keep on leash. We really like our quiet so would appreciate using a generator as little as possible. Please always close gates when coming and going. Save the bovines!

Location

Access Road Conditions: The total size of your rig, tow vehicle, trailer and towed vehicle should not exceed 30ish feet. Not just the trailer. The turn into driveway is tight as well as a couple of tight turns coming up. You will need to stop and use flashers to open the cattle gate. We would love to host you, just don’t want ya getting stuck. We live off a half mile rocky bumpy driveway. We own a 17 ft single axle Lance trailer that gets up and down fine but please be aware that the road is bumpy. There are two cattle gates that you need to open and close each time you come and go as well, but the view and peace and quiet are well worth the bumps. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: There is plenty of space to park a tow vehicle next to or around your trailer

Robin and Doug are very friendly and generous. We felt like we had been transported to another planet because we couldn't see any people or cars. We didn't hear any noise except for the sound of insects. We truly enjoyed the peaceful night.

This host site is in a beautiful country setting. Although they were concerned about the bumpy road in, it was not bad. There were two cow gates on the property. The first one was so close to the road that there was not room for our 26’ RV between the road and the gate when open. A shorter rig probably would not have this problem.

Very quiet and tranquil - loved the chickens. Robin was great - and Floyd town is amazing.

Gracious hostess Robyn made us feel right at home on her beautiful property. Tranquil field parking away from country road. Set about 1/2 mile back up a bumpy gravel road. We had no problem in our Class B Travato - others (larger motor homes and trailers) might not. Well worth the trip . Just a few miles from the cute town of Floyd !
