We are residents of Knoxville, Tn. and are lifelong campers. We started with tents, graduated to pop-ups, then a hard shell tear-drop, and now a full size camper trailer. It is usually just the two of us but occasionally we drag along a couple of grandchildren. We are in the process of creating a host site of our own open to other boondockers. We like the adventure of meeting new people and seeing new places.

Maynard was a gentleman, nice, calm and cultured person. His place to stay was so quiet. Definitely recommend this place.

This was our first Boondockers welcome. Maynard and Linda couldn’t have been more kind and helpful, even sending us dirctions when we hit a huge traffic delay and had to find an alternate route. When we arrived Maynard met us at the bottom of the road to guide us up. He wasn’t kidding when he said use 4 wheel drive coming up the steep narrow gravel road, it was worth it when you got to the spot at the top. Very enjoyable stay with wonderful hosts. Thanks again!

A must stay if you are in the area. The view is beautiful and our hosts were wonderfully welcoming. A secluded, peaceful piece of East Tennessee that you won’t want to miss!
